Having the same problem here. Find it quite annoying. If there is a solution found, please post it here. Sure am rethinking my purchase of my avic-x710bt. Came here to see if anyone else has this problem. Sad to see I'm not the only one. Sadder to see no fix

Doh, old noob here, sorry for stepping where I don't belong. So intent was I to find an answer to my question that I missed the D3 thingy. I'll try to think more before I speak next time.

Just received my new AVIC-X710BT knob. (black rubber, org. style I guess) Following the simple instructions, got it installed with a snap. Looks natural & feels even better! Just what the doctor ordered. Thank you, Thomas Hohl, keep up the great work!

Try this for sorting. Like you I have a large library of tunes. Didn't like iTunes for the fact that I couldn't save my playlists. hxxp://www.mediamonkey.com/ There's a free or paid version. Although I've just installed iTunes to try & get my album covers to display on my AVIC-X710BT. Found a post somewhere in here mentioning something about the need to use iTunes to transfer music to the iPod to get the AVIC to see to covers. Playing with it now. Hope to create my play lists with Media Monkey & then open the play lists with iTunes, then copy to my iPod. Sounds like a lot

Hey all! I'm a new owner of an AVIC-X710BT. Already ordered the larger volume knob (big hands). The part number you're looking for is (CD-IU230V) check Pioneers web site. The way I ended up at this post is that I was looking for a reason for my album covers not showing on my BT. Purchased my unit at Future Shop. The salesmen had no idea I needed a separate cable, aside from the USB connection. If you check Pioneer's web site they pretty clearly state that the CD-IU230V is required for sound & videos With the CD-IU230V, I was able to get sound! Ahh! BUT can't get the album cover
