  1. i checked and i cant find the CD. maybe i suck at searching. is there anyway i can burn it? i do legally own thew navi i just cant find my CD. i also searched for the magnetic pad. but i see the whole entire gps antenna assembly. all i need is the pad.
  2. I've had my D3 for a couple months now. i took it out of my car and i'm getting ready to sell it. i have a potential buyer but now i cant find my East coast navi CD (i live on east coast). I'm fustrated cause i've been looking all over for it and cant find it. Theres a slight chance it might be in the unit but i dont know how to tell..... my car is alreayd put back together with all the OEM stuff. anyway guys how could i obtain another east coast navi CD for my avic D3. I appreciate the help, thanks Oh and i also need to know where i can get that little black magnetic pad
  3. I did solder all the wires from the D3 to the metra harness. But i had to tap into two factory wires.... VSS and my stock amp turn on
  4. So what should i use instead? where stores can i find t-taps? i dont want to solder my stock wiring since i want to be able to go back to stock easily.
  5. Yeah theres no spade to slide off. I couldnt find that type. These are really called "splice connectors"
  6. Oh ok, i was assuming when i removied the taps the wire would basically be severed, maybe hanging on just by just one string of metal... so i guess i'll be able to snap a new tap right onto the old spot
  7. Alright heres the deal. I'm gonna be pulling out my D3 to redo some of my wiring. But the thing is i used "splice connectors" to tap into my stock amp turn on wire and my VSS wire. I'm gonna have to remove these taps to pull the metra and pioneer harness out of my car. The only thing i'm worried about is when i remove the taps are'nt my factory wires gonna be barely holding together since they were crimped/cut by the splice connectors..? i'm gonna be putting these splice connectors back onto the stock wiring once i'm done redoing my connections from the pioneer harness to the metra harne
  8. So so true............ Cant even blame pioneer. Everyone is so sue happy in this country
  9. Now that you mention there is only one light, sucks......
  10. So are alot of you using wireless remotes to control your D3's I have stock steering wheel controls but i dont know how to hook up the SWI-PS. it seems a little confusing........ if i were to buy a remote, where is a good place to stash it so can control my radio while driving?
  11. Okay i've noticed a very annoying problem for me with the D3. I have all my favorite FM stations preset. Its perfectly fine to scroll through them with the radio screen showing. All i have to do is touch the "touchscreen" above the approriate station button. The thing is when i have the map showing. i cant find a way to navigate through my presets... if i touch the forward and back buttond on the plastic face of the D3 it only scrolls to the next station. For example when i touch forward it will go from 105.1 to 105.3 etc.......... why doesnt it go to the next preset?? did pioneer really
  12. Thats BS! 90% of the people here have the bypass working fine with the vss hooked up. Including me.
  13. I'm being gotten are'nt I, LOL. C'mon everyone, for real whats the purple areas????????????
  14. Thanks for the reply. These "happy places" does it mention them in the manual? what else would be a happy place?
