  1. My Samsung Epic 4G (Galaxy SII) bluetooth was working great with the upgrade from Z110 to Z130. I was able to connect and listen to XM radio or Pandora from my phone through the unit. Then Android decided to push the Ice Cream Sandwich OS (4.0.4) to my phone from Ginder Bread (2.3.X) and now the bluetooth will not connect. I think it's an Android problem and not the AVIC. Maybe when the new Jelly Bean OS (4.1.X) is pushed, it will be compatible...
  2. Don't forget, when updating the Bluetooth Firmware, your Bluetooth must be ON. If it is OFF, the "update firware" button will be greyed out. I just finished the upgrade and installed the Version 2.003 that I downloaded from Pioneer Website. Now just to refamiliarize myself with the unit's interface. Can't wait to get back to the states so I can start using the Navigation unit. Currently in Turkey and using a stand alone Garmin Unit for the mean time. Too bad the AVIC-Z120BT doesn't use Garmin Maps. Those are all hacked.
  3. Do to the fact that I have a Ford Edge, my version needs to be on Version 9. I will check with PAC tech support and see what Version "direction" they point me to. Can you also explain what you mean by "make sure the SWI-PS is connected directly to the interface module... rather than hard-wire it in"
  4. I have connected the ACC wire to constant power. The device is a hit miss with the Volume bottons. The volume up on the steering wheel will work at times and the volume down botton on the steering wheel only worked for the first ride in my car, now it needs to be reporgrammed. I think the PAC SWI-PS, although compable with my Ford Edge, has some tweeks.
  5. I have just recently installed an AVIC Z110-BT in my 2008 Ford Edge with the PAC SWI-PS. It is installed correctly and I am using it for the following function: Volume Up, Volume Down, Seek Up, Seek Down, and Source. The steering control will work for all buttons for about an hour then all but the source will stop working. I removing the panel and reprogrammed the buttons again. All buttons began to work again, but the same scenario occurred. I am tired of removing the panel and reprogramming this unit so it can only work for another hour.
  6. I ended up burning the DivX file on a DVD. It was a bit scrambled but, I assume the activation worked.
  7. I am not new to registering devices to use DivX. I input the registration code and DivX makes the registration file. I transfer onto a USB drive and try to play it on my AVIC Z110-BT. The problem is that the unit does not recognize the file. What do I need to do in order to complete the registration? NOTE: The file must play on the unit to complete registration.
  8. I needed to connect the VSS wire anyways, so after popping it open again and removing the harness, I realized that the mute pin was not pushed in all the way into the harness. I put a flashlight up to the harness (it was dark) and saw the shadow of the pin. It was about 3/4 of the way in. I pushed it all the way in and now the message is gone. Thanks
  9. I go to [sETTINGS], [NAVI SETTINGS], [CONNECTION STATUS]. When I put the car in drive, Parking Break says: ON. Still not sure whey the message is coming on.
  10. Upon boot of the unit is still shows the following message Note, that the bypass DOES work; move yellow mute wire over one space and ground it with the parking brake wire (old news). Anyways, although I am able to watch the DVD while the car is in motion, my concern is if this message is going to affect any other functions in the future. Also, it is a bit annoying; is there a way to remove it?
  11. I found a post that has the VSS location Reference: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php? ... c=728&st=0
  12. While doing further research, I found a post that has the VSS location Reference: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php? ... c=728&st=0
  13. I have just finished installing my AVIC Z110-BT with rear camera and PAC SWI-PS steering wheel control interface. It took a couple of days, but I finally finished it. The bypass works like a charm as well. Due to the fact that I am overseas (military) I am not using the GPS to its fullest yet, but I still want to connect the vss for future use. I am unable to find the vss on my Ford Edge. Is it on the harness or under the hood? If it is on the harness, what pin number is it? I hope it isn't under the hood
