appreciate the response and broad knowledge base - imagine if we could get this kind of support by calling Pioneer... the one we spend all our loot on Is the chip available to purchase and would it be practical? The bypass mod was pushing it for me - dunno about unsoldering a chip... Are there any other disadvantages/differences of the N1 vs. N3 besides the ipod and xm graphical changes? Looks like the D3 is a great alternative at its price-point if you can fit it... anyone wanna buy a n1 soldered with 60 discs? Thanks again!
