  1. I mean...I was not finding info on how to actually download back to the original CD's (from the 60's) when I looked on here. A lot of talk about it but no actual answers If it there...show me...I have not found it
  2. cntrylvr79---I have not seen anyone provid the info on how to pass the 60 cd lochout furmware if you ahve an AVIC N1. For the N2 and others...it is easier. But I have the N1, it is easy to ground the parking break. ONly downsie is once I downgraded back to the originals, now I have the originals and the 60 CDs. Has anyone figured out (on the 60 cds) how to burn them without the firmware lockout files
  3. I Figured it out! For those of you who have the AVIC N1 and used the upgrade CDs like I did...you can downgrade. It is a bit tricky until you figure it out. However, if you have the original CD's you can force flash downloads from the original CD's to revert the firmware back to the original. This will allow a passanger to watch DVD's and to use the nav. options in drive. Let me know if anyone is stuck like I was. Hopefully, someone will figure out how to get the new map info off with the old 1.1 or 1.2 firmware. No more lockout for me! thanks to bits and peices of info in here.
  4. I am trying to figure out how to downgrade after being stupid and installing the upgrade CDs in my AVIC N1. I know that there is a way that people are downgrading back to the original 1.1 adn 1.2 (yellow CD's) and some other way (the EBay guy). Have any insight on downgrading?
  5. Ok--for us morons that actually used the upgrade software on our AVIC N1 units, and lost our in-drive nav and DVD functions...how do we force a flash back to the original firmware? I have read that some have done it. I also know th guy on Ebay is selling a way to use the N2 maps with the original firmware. I have both the purple and original (yellow) CD's...how can I force the firmware back to the yellow cd's without sending to Pioneer? Help would be MUCH appreciated.
  6. I did upgrade my AVIC N1 to the N2 discs. How do you flash back to the original software discs?
