I have a 2004 Pilot (without navigation model). Currently have a 8200NEX installed but would like to install the 7600NEX. However, crutchfield is saying it doesn't fit my vehicle, which I found surprising. Seems like any single DIN dash kit that fits my vehicle should work. CF does have a single din kit that fits a different single DIN Pioneer unit which I would think would fit the 7600. 

But before I was time/money going down that path, does anyone know if this unit will fit in a 2003-2008 Honda Pilot?

I currently have an 8200NEX. I'd like to swap it out for one of the larger display units, likely the 7600NEX. Will this be a pretty simple swap? I did this before going from the 5000NEX to the 8200 and it was a simple plug and play, did not have to rewire anything since it used the same harness, connections, etc. Is it the same case with the new single DIN, larger display units? Thanks!

Hey, good for you man. Nope, I believe it's a legit pic...however, that doesn't change the fact that I would never run any script or code from an unknown/untrusted source. 

He removed it after I questioned it. But why would you want to run it? He never even said what the script did, which was one of my initial objections. And he later said it hasn't been tested on an 8200 so it could very well brick your unit.

No, you didn't try and help. Someone tried to get me to run an untested script from an unknown source. That's not helping.

Hahaha....now YOU are a funny person. You think I'm strange for not running arbitrary code off the internet and now you're telling me you don't even know if it will work and you're criticizing me for not taking the risk? No thanks. I don't want to risk bricking my unit...or ransomware.

And yes I asked for help, but I never asked for someone to send me code to run. I was simply asking if there was a way to disable those sources through the unit that I wasn't able to find.

I appreciate the effort, but this is the internet. At the very least, you should have specified what it did...ever heard of malicious code?

Hi. I just replaced a 5000NEX with an 8200NEX and I'm trying to figure out how to disable sources I don't use, such as Pandora, Bluetooth audio, etc. I want to do this so when I change sources via the steering wheel control, it will only scroll the sources I use - radio, USB1 (CarPlay) and USB 2 (iPod). I can't seem to find anywhere how to do it. Thanks!

Thanks a lot. That's good to know. I don't believe the 8200 I bought comes with anything other than the wiring harness which I won't even need since I'll use the existing harness...so I don't think the remote wiring would even be an issue. If he does send it, I'll consider using the 8200 harness and rewiring.

I have an NEX 5000 and since a couple firmware updates ago (can't remember which one), part of the screen is unresponsive intermittently and requires repeat touches to acknowledge. Therefore, I'm considering buying a used 8200 and I'm wondering if this will be a pretty simple swap? It looks like most things have the same exact connection, GPS antenna, remote, etc. But I'm mainly curious if they're using the same harness where I could just simply wire the speaker connections and plug the 8200 in with the existing harness.

Your ipod is probably too old for the firmware in the 8100. I had the same issue when I upgraded from my u310BT to the NEX5000. Ipod played fine in the old unit, but in the new one, it would always start from the very first song. It's extremely annoying. You can try checking for a new firmware update for your ipod, but I ended up having to use a newer ipod. I had an ipod video and a friend swapped his ipod classic with me, which worked fine. Another option would be to try to find an old, unused iphone and just use that as an ipod for the car. 

I recently bought the NEX5000 and gave my U310BT unit to a friend. He was asking me how to change the clock setting recently after going into daylight savings. He said it wasn't working so I tried to do it for him. I went into settings from the main menu screen and noticed that the Region button item was grayed out/unavailable. The Set Home, Map and Location buttons were also grayed out. Sound and Service Info buttons were available. I have no idea why these items would be unavailable. That was not the case when it was installed in my car. Also, the F. Reset button on the bottom of the Settings menu is grayed out as well. Anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

I have the NEX5000 and on page 190 of the manual it talks about the Sound Retriever function, which I enabled on a previous Pioneer unit. However, the manual basically only tells you how to scroll through the SR options once you're there. I can't find how to get there on the unit. I've looked all through the various settings and cannot find it. Can anyone tell me how to access it? Thanks!

I ordered it but have not yet received it so I can't compare it yet.

I currently have a U310BT in my car and just purchased the NEX5000. Will I be able to basically just swap the 310 for the NEX5000 during the install? Will the main power/harness plug on the 310 plug right into the NEX?
