  1. Guys, I have the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT and we are using the bluetooth connection for our phone, it seems like it tends to disconnect quite a lot during conversation. It is kind of hard to figure out what disconnects but lets say my wife calls me, suddenly the music comes back on so its hard to listen but I can still hear her talking (who knows if its through the phone or radio) however she can not hear me through the pioneer or the phone. Another thing is that whenever making or accepting calls the map turns on the screen and does not go back to radio when conversation is done, is this a norma
  2. if you said that from the start it would have been clear right away but then how is it that bypassing the system does not generate the error? obviously by doing the bypass you are incorrectly connecting the parking brake cable so what gives? or does grounding it fools the system into thinking its ok ?
  3. I only replied to this thread because it seemed to have done a much better job with the pics, the sticky is a half job done. I did not realize its illegal here to reply to old posts. I perfectly understand what you are trying to say, its just that it makes no sense to me. Metra who makes the GMOS adapter has a cable thats designated to be connected to the Avic parking brake wire (light green). If what you are saying is correct then they are shipping units and instructions that are incorrect and in effect the wire goes no where. Everyone following their directions should be getting an erro
  4. hmm u got a point there, but since the adapter is made just for that car and the radio, i assumed their green parking cable then connects to car's harnace which should in effect connect the light green to gmos green wire to the correct location eliminating any errors. i did not ask for help on this here, just about the diagram for the bypass which i might attempt, if u are not helping why thread crap at all?
  5. Well I am getting the error message and did not do a bypass at all, i connected the parking brake wire to the green parking brake wire that came off the GMOS-04 adapter and got a message a week later that parking lead was not connected correctly. I am trying to follow the pictures to do the bypass but from the picture the light green wire is connected to black ground on one end and yellow mute on the other, that makes no sense, od did u just tap the mute wire into the middle of the light green wire? u say light green wire and yellow mute connected to light green wire , so connected to itself?
  6. I will try that. I just went over the directions again and from what i can gather i connected that wire to the GMOS green wire which states to connect to the parking brake power wire. The bypass you are referring to suggests to connect to ground (if you are talking about the bypass to make controls available while driving) so I definitely did not do that and have no need for it. However, I am not sure why connecting the cables as per instructions of both the avic radio and the adapter would generate an error. I did not realize ur from avic, I thought u r just here as another user trying to
  7. narcolept, I thought of what I did and maybe that is the problem? the ligth green cable that comes with the navigation unit is the parking brake cable if I remember correctly, it is very long and has some red adapter that you lock into with the parking brake cable. I am pretty sure it has two sides to it and a piece of metal that you slide the other cable into before locking. I ran the GMOS adapters parking brake cable into that and locked it, was I perhaps supposed actally not use the red adapter and just splice the two cables? I assume it was the way to do it after seeing there was the ex
  8. no need to get upset so quickly, I was simply stating it is unlikely I spliced cables incorrectly. I was asking what you mean by bypassed because I don't really know what you mean, as in I do not know enough about these systems to understand what it is you are suggesting, as in I do not know what it is I should be bypassing, etc. I can follow a diagram ok but it doesnt mean i know exactly what I am doing
  9. narcolept, I am pretty sure I connected the parking brake cables ok, there was only 1 cable in each manual stating its for the parking brake so I do not think I could make a mistake, the only thing is maybe it came lose or I did not splice them correctly. What do you mean if I am bypassed?
  10. narcolept any ideas on the parking break cable error message? also to the installed narcolept spoke about, are you out there ?
  11. I understand, but since sub woofer was fully controllable with stock radio wouldnt that mean there has to be some kind of feed for them ? I guess like you said maybe one of the other guys could help more so I can only hope they read this post. If I need to install an additional wire something that would be great but at this point volume is my biggest concern as I at least can control the bass in some way. Do you think installing 3.2 update could solve that problem? I know its not meant for this model but I heard a lot of people on the web saying it solved problems for them. I have 2.00800 v
  12. narcolept, I was just plaing around with the radio and noticed that I can control the base through the Bass Booster, I don't know why I would not be able to control it through Sub Woofer controls? Is it because this is just the Bass Booster from radio itself while subwoofer is the actual sub I have in the back ? its a bit confusing.
  13. Thanks narcolept, just to clarify, you are saying I will not be able to control the sub at all ? or its just that I do not have it connected properly? I was able to control the level just fine with the stock radio, also since this radio has the settings to control it, why would I not be able to use them? According to the GMOS-04 model it states it is needed to retain the amp control so I assumed with that unit I should be able to control the sub being on or off, but more so the level of it. If I can not turn it off is one thing, but not being able to control the level is a much bigger pain
  14. They are not greyed out if thats what you mean, I can go in there and adjust everything, its just that when I turn the Sub off or change the level, nothing seems to happen at all, the Sub is always ON and levels do not increase or decrease the base level.
  15. Anyone have any idea? I only have a few days left in the warranty from the seller (14 days) if there is something wrong I would like to be able to send back before that and not have to deal with Pioneer later, its a refurbished unit. Someone has to know something.
