  1. The only thing that it won't do as far as I know:

Is you can not transfer the phonebook to the D3. It could if the D3 got a firmware update that grabbed the phone book from the iphone.

And I have not tried voice yet!

It auto connects no problem, takes over a call if I am on phone and get in and turn car on. etc

  2. Service Provider: at&t

    Phone-SW Version: Apple 3G

    Autoconnect: Yes

Basic Function: (Make & Recieve a call, Call History, Preset Memory) Yes

Signal & Battery Strength Indicator: yes/yes

Just curious but how did you get yours to autoconnect? I have to pair iphone 3g each time the radio/car is turned on.

I had the same probelm until I deleted other phones I had saved in my D3. I then deleted the pairing on the iphone, and re paired and ever since then It connects every time, and also unconnects when I turn the car off, the call is still going on phone. As well as if I get in my car on the phone it transfers to the cars speakers once turned on!

  4. I have a Zephyr.

The vss is sent via the Medium speed can bus [16 pin harness] to stock radio along with illumination etc..

Underneath the drivers side there is the smart junction box.

you can get the reverse gear pin there green/white, rear park lamps also for illumination (grey/yellow).

You can buy if you choose from soundgate audio CAN vss interface that you connect to the OBDII conector.

I have the wire printout, send me a PM and I will give you info.

  6. I have had my D3 for almost a month! At first I had no vss, just gps and it was fairly good, then add vss and reset the learning mode.

When I first tried to get home, it did not tell me to take the shortcut I normally use. However after a couple of times of me using my shortcut anyways, it now tells me to take this shortcut. I did not think the D3 had "navigation learning" like the Z1 one, however this is the second address that I have taking a shortcut path a few times that it now remembers and tells me to take the route I want.

I have never had the unit tell me to go buy a road that I knew I should turn on and then make some lefts to get back to the same point. Obviously if you know where you are going you do not need Navigation I just like it, and enjoy seeing how good it is!!

A negative is that twice while driving down a local "highway" route (two-lane) interconnect route it wanted me to get off exit and then get back on the ramp to the highway, this might be a bug due to how closely it runs to highway no biggie though, unless your an idiot and do it.

If you have an Ipod the one disc slot does not matter! My ipod works flawlessly.

"The CD-BTB200 is the same hardware as the CD-BTB100, so there will not be any change to phone compatibility. What has changed is the mic gain is lowered, to reduce echo, and the auto-connect feature will work with Motorola phones. That's it. "

Actually Pioneer tech representative says that there is a whole different chipset and firmware in this version, which is a hardware and sotware change.

  8. I get static on a FOX fm channel after the install, would power antenna wire cause? I have an in glass antenna? I do have my pin 5 pwr antenna wire connected? Only select FM channels have some static.

Anyone have any opinions XM vs Sirrus, just going to use it for music. Not too concerned with Stern so what else seperates them?

  9. First just go to Circuit city or best buy, and ask for a chrysler antenna adapter. I have a lincoln zephyr.

Second problem, what exactly is the device doing? Meaning can you atleast input the correct vehicle version? Do you get the right number of led flashes when you turn on to acc position? Give more detail.

Make sure you hook up ground, power to switched, then cut purple wire and connect the inside purple wire to resistor end, and other end connect to white wire. Then also take the white wire and connect it to the swc+ pin 18 on car harness. then also ground pin 19 (swc-) on car harness.

  10. Just so you know I have two grn/white wires underneath in my kick panel. You definately have the wrong wire. Or your crimp is not making a full connection.

If you measure with a meter it will go from ~ 0v to ~14v or just get a cheap "hot" light and it will either light up when in reverse or when not depending how your car goes.

  11. I have D3 w/btb100

    phone is samsung sync.

Auto connects no problem, incoming and outgoing calls no problem.

    No phone book transfer.

It seems either people can transfer, but have hard time auto connecting, or they can auto connect but not transfer.

The btb200 is a different chipset, new software so hopefully that fixes it or back to crutchfield it goes!
