1. Hey thanks a bunch, those will be perfect!!!
2. That was great thanks for the small video showing the interface!
3. Any one have any cool Lincoln Zephyr car picks, with maybe the Zephyr logo in the background? http://www.netcarshow.com/lincoln/2006-zephyr/ I just don't have any good editing software. Thanks, Burn
4. Can anyone give me a good review on how well the ipod works using the cable and what the interface is like? Thanks, Burn
5. Ok, last question for me about all this. Would another manufacturers speed pulse generator work with D3? NVE-K300 alpine kenwoods clarions etc.. ??? Burn
6. I was wondering if someone with a D3 and there illumination wire hooked up could turn on their lights, and tell me if you can switch from the screen back and forth from DAY/NIGHT on the Nav map screen? Reason is I do not have access to illum wire, and am thinking of just sending it +12v(lights always on) and if I can manually switch the screens than I am fine. Thanks, Burn
7. Thanks for the tips. I saw that a few had sensors like alpine nve-k300, that is what I will probably do. Will that work with the D3? I am really looking into finding a CAN module that will pull the necessary info ie. illumination, vss etc.... Burn
8. I had the dealer install, what am I supposed to read on a meter? I am wondering if they put the inline clip on the power lead to the sensor instead of the line out of the sensor? How accurate is the nav unit without? How long before it learns with just the gps?
9. Ok, I had the dealer add an inline crimp to the + line of one of my wheel sensors. The problem is when I took a meter to that line it was a constant voltage and the unit did not recognize a speed pulse? Showed zero, and came up saying did have it connected. What else do I have to do? This is becoming the hugest hassle trying to get a freakin speed pulse, about to give up and sell this unit. Any help? Burn

11. Yeah, however I do not have the illumination wire hooked! Called pioneer and they said it needs that wire, which is stupid that you can't change it on your own. So any one know what else to use or tap into?
12. I have 06 Linc Zephyr. I don't understand why you can't just switch the thing into night mode regardless of the lights. Do you know what it is that the illumination wire does when on?\ ie. 12volts = on or 0v etc??
13. My stock wiring harness does not have illumination wires. I assume they are on the CAN BUS. So without those is there a way to get the map into Night mode? I switch it in the settings and it does not do anything. Anyone know? Maybe grounding the illum wire (lights always on type of thing) Thanks, Burn
14. Just curious if anyone else "while driving" looked at their hardware status screen. speed pulse install angle gps etc... When driving my installation says "excessive vibration" meaning the angle is off. I installed radio with my cars factory mounting bracket. The stock radio had a rubber screw plug that rested the back end on the chasis, on the D3 the rear is "floating" so I assume this causes a little extra vibration. Does not appear to mess up the navigation. Would this matter? Anyone remember what the back looks like is there a spot for a rubber screw plug?
15. How do I know if the wire in slot 5 is the power Antenna wire? What should the voltage read with a meter? Reason is the pin locations you gave, I don't have any wires in 3&4, I do have a wire in 5 though. So If put a meter on it what should it read +12v or ?? Thanks, Burn
16. ok here we go get a cd-r on that disk creat a folder called "PICTURES" put the .jpeg only pics that you want to use as background images in that folder. has to be over 1.8meg (meaning atleast a few pics so disk is recoginized) that is it follow other instructions, as mentioned above. If you do not know how to create a folder or format a cd, or anything else use help on your computer.
17. THanks, you don't happen to have all the pin - color codes?
18. My reroute is almost instantly. As far as being off, my unit is accurate to with in a couple of yards. I spent the time to calibrate it following the manual. Involves driving in a parking lot but no biggie. Burn
19. In the manual it tells you to create a folder "PICTURES" and store jpg pictures in the folder. It also says the size to make them like 2010 x1140 or something like that. Then put the disc in go in NAVI menu settings, change background image button and there ya go, select upload and pic name. Burn
20. I have 06 Zephyr, I have noticed some static every so often on some channels. I forgot what your supposed to do, to "boost" your signal? Hook up the power antenna line? Anyone have wiring pinout of Ford 06 24 pin? Thanks, Burn
21. I have mine on the dash near my AC controls. Which is farther away than the wheel or visor and I keep asking people how they hear me and so far my response has been around 70% Loudness, and 100%clarity. So that is good enough for me, because there are absolutely no visible wires. Burn Anyone try and manually creat a phone book, just from Nav Unit?
22. First thing to do is register your phone with the Nav Unit. If you go into the BTB settings you can select a feature to "Register" your phone it makes a connection, and then anytime from then if your phone comes near the Nav unit it will pair up automatically. So after that if a call comes in it will automatically turn music off once you select to take incoming call by pressing button on Nav(auto accept calls can be selected via settings among other features). And the audio of the phone call will be output via speakers. Then when the call is done it will go back to whatever source yo
23. I wasn't sure, however as far as giving them to Pioneer: All a company like Garmin does for alot of Manufacturers is provide them with a chip with the preloaded data. I work as a software engineer and I know some of our software runs on external manufacturing products and is oredered already flashed on to chip, and they basically are paying for the chipset and functionality and have no acess to how our chips software algorithms work. Did not know, just know if your an electronics manufacturer it would be cheaper to buy someone elses technology, then to develop your own sometimes.
24. You may have to do extra steps. I have a 2006 lincoln zephyr(ford) It has analog circuit for steering wheel control, dimmer and illumination. Meanin two wires. So he might have hooked up the dim line and the illumination line. Which is what I did and that alone is not enough. I believe you are going to have ground the (dim -, and illum -) lines. Either by getting the wire on your aftermarket connector or if there not there than inline clips on the cars harness side. Anyone correct this if its wrong. I had to do this on my (SWC -) for the PAC steering wheel control. Bu
