Wired correctly. Must be designed poorly.....

I installed an AVIC x920bt in a Toyota Sequoia. The stock radio would let the antenna down when not in use i.e. playing a CD, Tape or powered off. The AVIC keeps the antenna up continuously even if you turn all audio sources off. You can't drive through a car wash and the sequoia is getting dirty!
