I managed to figure this out. I thought I would actually share how this issue was resolved for those who have problems in the future. I grounded the purple wire on the pioneer harness to the main ground on the pioneer harness, just ran a wire between the two and used vampire taps to make the connection. Hope that saves someone down the road.

HELP! I am having the same problem as mentioned above. Tried adjusting the settings and still no luck. What do I do?
