  1. The car is a Lincoln Aviator. I do have those 2 modules in front of the shifter, but I didn't see where the wires would be in the way. I will have to pull them to check it out. Thanks.
  2. I'm sorry, when its put in park (not the actual parking brake).
  3. After over a year of working perfectly, I am having an issue where the Sirius and BT are grayed out when in park. As soon as I shift out of park, they start to work. When I park the car, the system shuts off (only if using Sirius, if I am using iPod, that will continue to work). I checked all of the wiring, and did a system reset and it still does this. Can anyone help or have any idea of what could be causing this problem? AVIC-D3, CD-BTB100, SIR-PNR2, iPod cable, and PAC SWI-PS
  4. I haven't had the time yet to tear apart the dash (the Sirius box is buried) to see. The weird thing is, after shutting off the car and restarting, everything works fine. Its the initial start that doesn't.
  5. Nobody? Now everytime I start the car, the radio is off, and Sirius doesn't work. I have to shut off the car and restart to get Sirius working again.....
  6. I've had my AVIC-D3 installed for just over a year now in my Lincoln Aviator, and in the last few months, I've been having a weird problem. Sometimes when putting my car into park (and leaving it running), the Sirius and Bluetooth stop working. The buttons are grayed out. I have to shut off the car for a while to regain control. Everything else is fine (iPod controls work, etc.). I've also done the bypass. Could a loose wire be the cause? I have the following installed: CD-BTB100 PAC SWI-PS SIR-PNR2
  7. Actually, if you have Verizon update your firmware to GATW_01.18.02, you will get the object push profile. I am now finally able to send my contacts one at a time. Also, if your phone had OBEX (they removed OBEX from the phones in a firmware update, I flashed mine with this intact), you will still keep it. It only updates it, its not a "monster" flash. This is for a RAZR V3c phone. More info here: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread. ... ge=1&pp=15
  8. Service Provider: Verizon Phone: Blackberry RAZR V3c SW Version: Auto-Connect: Yes Basic Function: Yes Phone Book Transfer: No Voice Calling: No audible sounds, but sometimes takes the commands Signal & Battery Strength Indicator: Yes / Yes BT Audio Capable: Not sure Thanks to Verizon for crippling Bluetooth on their damn phones and their shitty interface. My firmware only supports OBEX and not OPP (object push), so no transferring of contacts. I also can't figure out how to manually add a phone contact in the D3. Is this even possible? Also caller ID doesn't seem to

    btb-200

I am doing the same thing, but they told me to send back the btb100 first (to retain the discount). They said the sooner I send back the old one, I will be next in queue for the new one.
  10. Are the Posi-Products connectors any good? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-dTIaPwdisI ... i=669PP500
  11. Wow, great service! My original order was on March 4th. I called them and they are sending the camera and the $30 gift card. I will probably ebay the camera...
  12. Thanks. So I should be ok if I vecroed the Sirius and BT receiver to the top of the D3? Now I have to figure out where to place the mic. The easiest place would be in the air vents right below the head unit. Not sure how well that would work though.
  13. Do what I did and use an AMEX card to buy the D3. This will double any factory warranty (2 years). Some Visa/MC cards also do this.
  14. Weird, same here. It looks like it shipped after all!
  15. So you were able to get a satellite radio receiver and a BT receiver in the console with the radio? If so, did you put it on top of the D3? I've read about the Sirius boxes having heat issues.
  16. LOL. Probably not a good place for the Sirius box. I plan on putting that under the passenger seat.
  17. Thanks for all your help! Does anyone know if the Bluetooth module will fit somewhere behind the head unit?
  18. I take it back, I didn't read the email closely. It STILL shows the D3 as backordered, and they shipped the Sirius but it showed it invoiced my Amex for the whole amount. WTF?
  19. Mine shipped today along with the Sirius reciever. I ordered it on Sunday of this week.
  20. Thanks for that info! Yes, I already ordered the anti-pop regulator from him. Reading the SWC wiring info, which is confusing, it shows 2 pin 18 wires? Or do I skip #2 under "3. Connecting the INTERFACE's SWC input wire to vehicle plug" and follow the #2 on the chart? Damn that is a head spinner..
  21. Thanks for the replys. I have a wiring question. When installing my Bluetooth module and Sirius receiver, will I be able to tap into the power wire on the harness, or will this create too much load? If it does create too much load, will running it to the fuse box be better (2 wires to the fuse box)? Thanks!
  22. No, its not a Bose AFAIK, just the Premium Audio. Will I need some type of regulator for the Amp/sub to prevent popping? Thanks.
  23. I am ordering a D3 from Crutchfield next week, along with the Sirius and XM receiver (for the 15% discount), PAC SWI-PS for my steering controls ('04 Lincoln Aviator), and the iPod cable. I am looking to use my stock speakers, sub+amp for now (I currently have the stock Premium sound with CD6 head unit). Will I be able to do this easily? From searching, I couldn't tell if it would hook up through the speakers using a wiring harness. I also read I might need some type of regulator to prevent the "pop" from the sub? I do realize I will lose the rear DVD features which I don't use anyway.
