  1. The atsc m/h tuners definitly work while moving. and they work pretty well. what I DID find out, accidentally, is that TV stations need to specifically boradcast in M/H so it turns out in Chicago, I can only get 2 channels. I guess 2 is better than 1 and I'm assuming eventually more stations will have it. There's a website that lists what channels broadcast in ATSC M/H. I don't remember what it is, but a quick google search shoudl find it. And there's a number of ATSC M/H receivers on ebay.
  2. So I went an bought my Avic-Z110 and was going to put the upgrade on and I thought to myself.... All of the features the Avic has, I have on my Iphone, so why not buy a cheap HU with screen and just use the Iphone with TVout Jailbreak. I have Navigon, Itunes, Pandora, Youtube, Hulu plus, etc. With an external HDTV tuner (which i need anyway) and a bluetooth device (or the cheap HU has the bluetooth) what are the disadvantages of doing it this way? Why pay for redundant features? Anyone doing this or have any opinions? Thanks. Paul
  3. Pay for an upgrade? and I picked up a factory refurb 110 on ebay for 660, shipped. So not that bad of a deal...
  4. The standard digital box will work when your standing still, but will be a disaster when moving, because of the way the new DTV signals are set. There is a special format they created for mibile devices which you will need to watch while moving. You need to find a tuner that is compatible with ATSC M/H. my $.02 Paul
  5. So I'm planning on getting a Z120 (or probably the Z110 with upgrade) and I saw a video review somewhere that said that the Unit will display Iphone video via the USB cable. I don't know if this can be true. (many apps like Slingbox and Hulu will soon (I hope) be outputting video so I would love to watch on my HU) As far as I know you can output video via the special iphone video out cable, not the USB. So to control the iphone via the headunit you would need the AVIC usb cable, but to display video you would need a SECOND iphone cable connected to a video in on the AVIC? and than sw
