I found the problem, I did think I needed the blue with white tracer wire (remote) connected. Apparently I did because of my factory amp. Thanks again Oh, no idea about the gps?

Thank you for your response, this is driving me crazy and i really appreciate it! The guide on wire is not connected, do you know where this connects? Also when I turn up the volume I get volume numbers not a mute message. ???

I'm also getting an error message that say's "an error happens, This'll not be displayed after mp release." What does this mean? I posted another question about my problems just two messages ago if it helps!

I have a 2003 tahoe with bose sound system. My friend and i installed the N3 and when we power it up neither disc will load. It says "insert approaite disk" then "reading disc" but then the message goes away and no action. It will play DVD's like it's supposed to but won't load GPS cd's. The unit is brand new out of the box with factory seal. I have also done the mod i found here and it also works great. Second I have no sound, with my xm,radio,or ipod. Everything is registering on the screen and I can naviagte through. The only wire not hooked up right now is the vss wire. Does this matt
