  1. For reference I have solved the problem. Turned up the gain on the MEtra CHT0-03 harness. Everything is now considerably louder- no increase in distortion- i suspect this was due to the speakers being underpowered at high volume
  2. thanks for the reply you have confirmed what i feared about the speaker connections- although i don't know whether the factory amp did take high level inputs. For the record, although the system responds to the volume control i need to turn it up to 60 at cruising speeds (80 mph) Interestingly the button beeps are just as quiet as the bluetooth and nav voice. How do i find this master volume setting as it may be the answer......................................? thanks for any help
  3. I have put the phone and gps volumes to maximum in the settings menu on the unit. The manual doesn't mention any further settings for phone and gps vol. are there others? what would happen if i connected the high level speaker outputs to the harness- would it fry it?

  5. Hi, first time poster- having followed all directions on the forum I have installed F900BT into my 2007 Jeep wrangler with factory amplified system. I used a Metra CHTo-03 harness. This requires output via RCAs. I performed the hardware bypass first and have updated to 3.02. All via excellent instructions from this site. Everything works great but the nav voice and phone are quiet even on max. Infact inaudible above 40 mph, although i should note that they do mute/att the source correctly. Also their volume is independent of the volume knob. Searching, it seems that other people have h
