Ahh crap! didn't know that. now i need to open mine and see if i can repair the gears. I still am getting the locking up issue though. Has anyone found a fix? If i mess with the ribbon cables it works fine for a little while then starts freezing again. Might try the replacement touchscreen.

While i was disecting i also forgot to put the hard drive back in before powering up, i broke my gears inside so now my screen doesnt open! DOH

Woop they replaced the CSX1093 apparenlty, thats not avialable anymore now its this part: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=CSX1129

Bump, to see if any solution has come out of this. I thought about replacing my touchscren panel to see if that helps but its around $60 from Pioneer. http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=CSX1093 is the touchpanel (apparenlty the whole Z1,2,3 line uses the same touch panel so the Z2 touch panel is what i linked.)
