Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll just have to put up with it.

Any way to stop the beep when you change volume etc on the Appradio 2?

App Radio with permanent Android phone

I'm surprised that there isn't more knowledge/interest on this. If it works, then you can have a fully functional Android headunit for relatively little cost and without having to plug in a phone each time you use the car. Anyhoo, I have been Googling and it seems like this setup may work. It all comes down to whether the Appradio can handle 2 BT connections since one will be needed for the permanent phone to control the touchscreen and the other to make phonecalls. Obviously the handsets used are also important. I think this maybe the vid referred to: http://appradioforums.com/Thread- -
App Radio with permanent Android phone

Great! Would you have idea where the vid is? Google isn't helping me . I did find something on using one of those HDMI all-in-one Android sticks but it wasn't too successful. -
I've searched for an answer to this but can't find it. I really like the look and functionality of the App Radio but don't want the hassle of having to plug in my phone each time I get into the car. Would it be possible to leave a phone permanently connected? I'm thinking of getting a second-hand Android for this purpose. Obviously it would no longer be used for calls - just as an Android source. I would be using another phone for calls etc. Is this set up possible?

Will an American F700BT work OK in Europe? I think the radio could be an issue. Is there RDS on the US version or can it be turned on?

I'll take some pics later on. I like the stock look of the graphics - its really what I'm looking for, but not in Russian

The UI files may be in English but I have installed it and the icons etc are definitely in Russian.
-
I managed to change the original UI to English but is all of the modded stuff not in Russian?
-
AFAIK you can only change the main Pioneer UI to English. All of the modded stuff is in Russian only (I think). I would love to be corrected

I was referring to the UI being in Russian

I have tried it too and I have to agree it seems to work 100%. I also changed the main UI to English but it would be an awesome mod if it was all in English.

This looks to be just what I'm after - but its in Russian
