So let me get this straight...did you use the one from Microbypass INSTEAD of the bulky bypass relay and it solves both problems of watching DVDs while driving AND watching DVDs while driving with the AVIC-U220 connected? If so, I already have the bypass relay installed so I can watch DVDs...can I install this little unit in addition to the relay or do I need to take out the relay and just install the one from Micorbypass and it will solve ALL my problems? Thanks!
  2. I am going to try this way since I need a quick solution by next week. Question...with the switch, did you just put it between the yellow wire on the Nav Unit. Also, so with this switch, if you leave it in the "NAV ON" position then shut the vehicle off then back on, I assume the video will not work. However, while the car is on and you flick the switch "OFF" then back "ON" will the video work? Thanks!
  3. Happ999, would you happen to be able to provide a wiring schematic as to how you hooked it up? Did you remove the break bypass relay and hook up another relay? (i.e. "and the time delayed output goes to the relay.") Thanks!
  4. I have the AVH-P4200DVD with the bypass relay in place. DVD works when vehicle is in motion. I just bought the AVIC-U220 and from what I am reading, if I hook up the Navi unit, I will lose my ability to play DVDs when moving. Has anyone found a solution to this yet? I do not care so much if I lose some features on the Navi system when going above 10mph. I contacted avhbypass.com and they said: "Apparently there's an accelerometer inside the Navi unit that tells when the vehicle is moving above 10mph to shut off a certain functions of the unit.
