Edit : for anyone having this problem this may help in the future ... when I grounded the e break and the added pins wires I tied them all together and tapped into the ground wire for the harness .. for some reason this is too much for one location on the wire.. I simply moved the added pins wire about 6 inches down from the e break wire and now everything is Tits.. a.k.a perfect lol hope this can help someone out....

sounds like u need to send it to pioneer to get a refurb done.. my d2/d1 whatever it is that i just got with the wrx i bought a few weeks ago had to get sent out.. idk other than that

actually i think i have a d2 (they look the same to me) but it seems the bypasses are the same for either so that shouldnt matter.... haha thats how noob i am... sry but i do understand wiring and shit like that so let me know... thanks..

ok so i just bought a 06 wrx and it came with a d1 in it... i did the bypass to it and it works with the e-break down but, as soon as i get over like 6mph it locks me back out again.. wtf did i do wrong , or what did i not do to bypass the gps/gyro readout ?? im assuming thats whats causing the problem.. i am a noob to these units but im not a retard so any and all help would be appreciated just keep in mind im taking a walk down noob street.. oh and i know how fourms work, sorry if this is a repost im sure it is but i cant get the f**** search to work right on here to find the thread so

ok , so its an overheating problem these units seem to have incase anyone else was having the same issue, if the unit runs too long or your heat is on for a bit and heats the unit up it causes the angle and open buttons to become un-functional... just let it cool down and walaa fixed.. kinda gay if you ask me for a high end player but what can you do...

ok so i know this has probably been posted but my dumb a$$ cant get the search to work properly to find it and i went thru like 10pgs already and lost my patience.... Anyway, i just purchased a 06 wrx and it has this unit installed in it already. i have no owners manuel or anything and am trying to teach myself how to use this. ive only had the car for 2 days and for the test drive and the first day or so i had no problems now I CANT GET THE UNIT TO OPEN UP OR TILT... if i turn the audible button pushing option on it definatly knows im pushing those buttons but nothing happens, i do not he
