Thank you for welcoming me. I read the thread you sent me to. It is filled with very useful information. I will no doubt have a need for it. But, I think you did not understand what I was trying to say in my first post. I will try again.
I do not have the AVIC-Z1 installed yet. It is sitting on my desk. I am trying figure out how I can energize the AVIC at my desk to have the screen slide down so that I might gain access to the hard drive.
I reason is that I only want to install this unit once and at this moment I don't have everything I want for the install [bluetooth & XM adapter
