After more reading on here it looks like i will need to downgrade. Is there anyway to do it without having the remote?

I have the same problem on my. I found that the new CNDV100 2010 is just an update. You need to have an old working cd to make it work. Which I'm still looking for the solution myself. Here is where I found the thread...
