Well i just figured it out, the ilumination colors have numeric values setting those 3 to 0 will turn off the ilumination on the butoms. But there is no way to do two settings for day and night mode you have to manually turn off the illuminatiuon which is a pain.

one question on the avic d3, is there a way to turn off ilumination on the buttons? it just looks tacky for those buttons to be on while all the other car buttons are off during the day. Also when you turn on car lights (night mode)do the settings on the buttons and screen change if you program them that way.lets say i have white buttons during day, and when i turn on lights can i program them to say turn red buttons for example and it switches automatically. i can not find this in manual.
