Whilst the Fixed AVIC products use similar hardware platforms worldwide, the product is actually region specific in function. The Fixed AVIC product released here in Australia is for the Australian market and will not operate in overseas markets and cannot be modified to do so. The reverse of this is also true. You will not be able to purchase a Fixed AVIC unit from the US or Europe and import the unit to Australia. The navigation will not operate and cann
