thank you for your help i will pick up some DL DVD's, is it as simple as doing a copy disk in nero?

Has anyone made a copy of their original NAV cd and used the copy in the drive instead of the original? I don't want mine to get all scratched up in the car just wanna keep a copy and leave the real one at home. is it just burn a copy with Nero and let it work? I would test it but I don't have any blank dvd's on me. (oh yea do they need to be dual layer?)

would that cause a reboot? i will check it this weekend & get back 2 yall.

Hey guys this seems to be an off/on problem but if im driving or even sittin in the car (like when i was cleaning it yesterday) the d3 will randomly restart. It does this in all modes (ipod/radio/divx), it is bypassed and the bypass works fine because it will restart reboot and then pick up where it left off (i.e. video will start in the same place it stopped). Is this a common issue??? Car is an 07 GTI.

& it works great. but is there any way to disable the annoying warning message that pops up? The one that when your in divx mode and start up the deck it says that you shouldn't be using it when the car is moving blah blah Thanks guys

Go to youtube and copy the URL from the address bar such as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKgRbTaKAuo Then go to www.keepvid.com and it will give you a link that will download the FLV file (you may have to add .flv to the filename after it has been downloaded). Download Dr.Divx (google search that) and jus mess with the settings to get the right screen size and audio quality you want. It will give you a .divx file that you can burn to dvd and play on the D3. Just remember the output can only be as good as what you put into it so dont expect miracles. P.S. dont keep watching t

Hey all, I tried searching but i couldnt find anything definitive. Is there any way to download videos off youtube then convert them to divx? im using firefox btw so if there is a good extension for it that would be great. Thnx

i tried searching but i couldnt pull up anything so i guess i will ask. For those that have the Z1 or D3 is there a reason why you chose one over the other (besides money). i was looking at both and obvoulsy the Z1 has the HDD but are there any other reasons that one is better than the other?
