  1. I just got my Z130 installed this week. Somehow in the process of playing with it, the unit checked me in on Facebook. I logged into Facebook last night to find a post from me saying "I'm in Akron" and "posted from my Pioneer AVIC Navigation" (just to let you know Akron is the city I live in). I have no idea how I did this. I would have thought aha radio did it, but I never loaded the aha app last night. How did it happen and how do I prevent it? I don't want my system randomly telling everyone where I am. By the way I have an iPhone 4S
  2. Im assuming the Z130 and X930 units are manufactured in Japan. I wonder if the recent earthquake and subsequent tsunami that devastated Japan this week will delay the release of these units. That would be a bummer.
  3. Check out the 2point5 spec docks. They're expensive but look as oem as it gets. www.2point5.com
  4. Did you ever hear anything back from your contact, Jason?
  5. I seriously doubt that the hd radio is built in either. The specs are essentially the same between the two units (120/130). So it doesn't seem at all cost effective from pioneers standpoint to rework the hardware to incorporate the hd radio when they already have the add-on module they can just throw in the box. It's not like they have any face to save in terms of people complaining about having extra modules when the traffic tuner is going to be separate in the box anyway.
  6. Great. Let me know what you hear back.
  7. I was under the same impression Jason (mostly due to this site). However, according to the e-mail I received from them, either there are in fact hardware differences as they claim, or Pioneer's tech support is a joke and they don't even know their own products.
  8. Ok. I e-mailed pioneer about this and here is what they said: "The AVIC-Z120BT and AVIC-Z130BT are not just different in map data and software. The hardware is different. You cannot use the CD-IU51V with the AVIC-Z120BT, it could draw too much current and cause an issue."
  9. I just ordered an AVIC-Z120BT and am going to be doing the bypass mod. The only problem is that I'd like to keep my mute wire and all my RCA's intact. My plan is to order an extra RCA harness from Pioneer and tear it apart for the pins/wires. The only problem is that the harnesses are quite pricey. $58.00 is too much to spend to just use one of the 22 or so pins/wires for the bypass. So, I've decided that the only way I'll order it is if I can find some like-minded people that are interested in sharing the cost with me. If anyone's interested PM me.
  10. ADMIN EDIT: The CD-IU51V cable actually has some changes in order to be compatible with iPads. Apple required us to make the necessary changes to be able to handle the higher voltage which is required by the iPad in order to receive Apple made for iPod certification on our new 2011 models. The CD-IU50V will be compatible with the 2011 models (minus iPad charging). However, the CD-IU51V will not be backwards compatible with our 2010 and older models.
  11. I was on pioneer's web site and noticed that the Z130 has a new model number listed for it's iPod cable. It lists the CD-IU51V where as the Z120, X920, and X930 all still list the old cable model CD-IU50V. Does anyone know why? The only thing I could figure is that maybe it has something to do with App Mode which, of course, Z130 supports but the other 3 models do not. I find that unlikely since the Z120 and X920 both controlled Pandora just fine with the old cable, but it's all I could come up with. So my questions are: 1. What does this new cable do that the old one does not? 2. Will
