  1. We don't need to sand the trim, we need to sand and paint the D3... The black lacquer look went out in the 80's.
  2. Lots of info on my install here: http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=161459
  3. So if a song is playing, and you turn the car off, when you start it back up the song will continue to play, but the menu function will be lost? Still seems like this function needs fixing to me.
  4. Thanks, I already have your blue one on my D3. The car is Lemans Blue.
  5. This forum was a huge help in finding the D3 at a great price, so I thought I'd post a few pictures of my installs. I loved the D3 in my C6 so much that I decided to spring for a second for my daily driver Ram. Both went in very easily with Metra dash kits and Peripheral interfaces, and both have Ipod, XM, and Bluetooth. The Ram also required the "sport" factory Nav bezel that I picked up on eBay. My only complaint is the finish of the plastic on the D3. Since when is the "black laquer" high gloss plastic look in fashion? I really wish the D3 was a flat black color like ever
  6. I ordered from Compuplus last Tuesday with their standard shipping. Received my stuff on Friday, and had it installed by Saturday. No issues, very satisfied with their service. This is my second D3, and it went even smoother, faster, and cheaper than the first I got from Crutchfield. For the price they charge, I didn't expect super fast or convenient service, but they surprised me.
  7. Got mine working by tapping into one of the tail light harnesses yesterday. Not the quickest solution, but it works great.
  8. I'm still trying to figure this out in my C6 as well. From what I've seen so far, it looks like there is no illumination wire in the radio harness, it's all controlled by the GM data bus. The bus sends a message to dim, and it's up to each individual device to adjust. Since the data bus doesn't connect to the AVIC, and the Peripheral adapter that I'm using doesn't handle this, it doesn't work. I think we will have to find a tap into the actual light circuit (at the bulb harness) to make it work.
  9. I had the same problem with the Metra kit for my C6 Corvette. I had to drill new holes in the Metra mounting brackets to get everything to line up with the holes in the D3.
  10. XM comes with a $30 credit that's good only at XM. The Sirius unit comes with a Crutchfield $30 credit, good for anything at Crutchfield.
  11. It's not actually a card, it's a piece of regular white paper in the stapled stack of other papers that come in the box. It will have the $30 gift card number on it.
  12. Crutchfield just billed my credit card $849 this morning, so it looks like today is the day!
  13. I just got in on the same deal! New referral code: px8c9-i7u0q-ebx69
