Do you have tomtom fully working or are there still bugs?

got 3 versions, 1st worked ok, but after some driving crashed with not enough memory message, 2nd works ok - need to test it more, 3rd is earlier version - will work 100% if 2nd one will fail  

im sorry, i've got not much of free time recently, gonna finish tests asap and share here ready-to-go shell + each gps software.

Is it a lot of work to get TomTom to work?

iGO8 is not running great on my F940BT because after 10 minutes or so i have to reset my unit because it is not responding anymore.

yeah, thats my modded menu for now i've managed to get working:

• iGO8
• AutoMapa EU
• TomTom Navigator
• Garmin (out of memory error after some clicks).

Got some Navigon versions for wince, need to test it /modify scripts,

and maybe we will get it working. The same thing with Garmin.

I have to get my avic out of car and get it on power adapter in home,

then I will have some time to figure it out.

I have to check if script for going back to currently started/chosen navi 

is working ok, no problem with share - I think tomorrow I will upload it.

I've just got mail notification about radio update,

available here. It updates uCom fw via testmode.

My first thought is - maybe its our opportunity

to make some mods which could give us gps unlock etc?

It includes files such as: EU110SYS.prg and EU110SAL.prg,

which we hadn't before.

I dont know what they contain, but maybe we could

make some mods, repack it and flash

as far as I remember in updates directory NDATA - map was packed/splitted with multiple archive, inside that archive was an disk image (?).

the same I could make via diskrw - which is included in hackmode.

maps were installed on seperate partition, probably you will only have to make a copy of nand2 partition via diskrw,

and then restore it on another device.

Condi, for some reason doesnt work for me via usb (havent tried sd yet).

 

I get following error after reboot during install:

Couldnt copy \sdmmc\condihack\prgx.flg to \nand\prg.flg'

Line 64 \usb\condihack\install2.mscr.

 

after rebooting manually, it goes into regular mode, even w/ usb key inserted

please try to install again v2.21 with usb! now it should work just great!

one gatecrasher - sdmmc got into usb section

it was late when I was writing this, and I was tired.. lol

I fixed the problem by replacing the av.exe from the f40 firmware! Thanks to Condi and Ralpharn!!!!!

a suggestion for update to this script. Put this before the existing copy steps:

 

ERROR OFF

COPY -c USER\PRG0\APL\RenewalIFLib.dll SD\RenewalIFLib.dll-orig1

COPY -c USER\PRG1\APL\RenewalIFLib.dll SD\RenewalIFLib.dll-orig2

 

This is to make a backup of original dll in case for some reason the one the user drops in wont work, and they need to restore, or manually patch and redeploy.

I noticed it did not install on my unit, but that was because I used USB stick instead of SD card.

Maybe you can put in alternate script for USB users, so they can use that version. Unfortunately until we can figure out how compare/exist or any basic conditional logic works in this script language, it would have to be a pre-requisite manual step (for the user to choose to use USB version of ScriptExec.ini)

all .mscr's are ready for both sd and usb, but I forgot about scriptexec

Hi Guys:

I did the Condi hack 2.0 and did not have any problems. Then I installed the Hack 2.1 and while I can get into the Condi Hack the HU locked up when I exit Condi Hack.. It just hangs at the start up. Unfortunately I did not make a backup because I could not find the user file/folder.

Can anyone help me for the next step?

thats right, its because hackmode now uses the 'older prg' for hackmode,

and the 'newer/updated prg' for stock software.

now you have hackmode on prg0 and prg1

what fw version you had? which device? you can fix it by entering hackmode,

file manager, delete av.exe on NAND/PRG0/Apl/Av.exe and write there some original ~3mb Av.exe.

I need to make some additional checks before install

If you would have problems to replace Av.exe,

then I could make an automatic fix for you later

I fixed firmware for AVIC-F40BT (AVIC-F940BT) with fixed testmode.exe (now can do copy and paste).

If i am right that firmware possible to use like official firmware.

the script was made to fill forms in romextractor app.

you have to prepare it with your dll names, and select correct field after message,

then click dump.

Condi, you can use ERROR OFF in that script to prevent a red screen if removing a file that doesnt exist. (You can turn error off right before you do an operation that might fail, then turn it back on afterwards)

It is an old quote but could anyone help me with dumping these files.

These files aren't corrupted from the post above but I can't find a way to dump the content of eu090plt on my pc.

Tried dumprom,dumpromx and with parameters -5. Always corrupted..

Hmm... yes, it was looooooooooooong time ago. I had some windows ce app,

which was dumping files on running system.

Because of lack of virtual keyboard as far as I remember I've made a script which after few seconds wrote filename to that app.

Got to search for that things on my hdd, i'm almost sure that I have them somewhere

I am trying to update my 110 to the new maps.

I tried the old 1.0 version and now have the error.

To do it all automated what is the exact method?

copy RenewalIFLib.dll to SD,

put to device and wait for finish.

after that put map update on SD and go further.

Yeah, Mine is all hosed. How are we going to fix it when we can't get the door open to replace the SD Card?

download v1.1, unpack, dont forget to put dll also in SD,

you can get out SD - just push "open" button for 5s.

Took Condi's Hackmode, put the hackmode.key file in the root of the SD along with the testmode.key file and renewal dll file and booted with it and was able to copy the renewal dll file back to both user\prg directories. I 'think' part of the problem is Condi's script doesn't remove the script ini file itself maybe?

 

Now though, I can't get it to recognize the SD with the update after downloading and formatting twice. Trying various things now.

I saw in another thread some guys working on patching testmode in the ROM (EU090PLT.PRG). Has anybody verified that they are able to repack/add files to this and safely reflash via dumpromx ?

yes on russian forum some user made modified firmware with patched testmode for copy/paste.

he also wrote a lot about structure of .prg file - header, body, crc etc.

and we got some info here also

It did work with my X940BT, even though I had a message error code 2000c129 with the inability to remove user\PRG.FLG

I now have Hackmode! I'm just concerned, did I messed up any way of doing a backup prior to the auto install?

Any options in case something goes wrong in the future at this point...?
