  1. If I can read your post correctly . . .

I have always had the same problem, even after many thousand miles.

Mine too has a lag. Not a time lag where it catches up. But a location offset.

My actual location is always a little further along than what shows on the GPS. Even if I stop, so it is not just a catching up lag problem.

    Thanks

  2. That depends on the vehicle (and how much has to come apart to swap the unit in). For mine ( a 2011 Toyota Tacoma), I would consider it hiway robbery (with wiring harness and nothing other than a head-unit change it's less than a half-hour work).

You could do this in 30 minutes ?

  3. I know most of the good ones go for $80+ but I would like to get something for less than $50, ebay most likely, used or new does not matter to me. What should i look for as far as features, specs?

    Thanks

With all due respect, don't waste your money for any cam <$50, new or used. You will regret buying and installing something that is junk.

  4. For the X920BT at least, I saw how to do this in the owner's manual. It is part of a setting that you turned on that tells you, for instance, when you employ a jackrabbit start. Yes, turn that sucker off.

  5. For one thing, you should have at least one bar to the right of cell tower icon.

With the connection status screen live, try moving your antenna around, with metal plate under it, and see what happens. Wait a few seconds in each placement for the connection info to catch up and update (the bars I am talking about).

  6. I also have major problems with the maps on the X920BT. My subdivision was built in 2004 and does not show up on the map, thus I am unable to set the home function. Additionally, I have had issues finding addresses.

Could you do this by entering the coordinates of your house, then saving that destination as home?
