I will try unplugging the hard drive next time. When I tried SyncTool the first time, it simply told me I had nothing connected. It gave me no options to plug in anything. I am using an SD card as well. I don't have a USB drive with the Micro USB connection.

My pc won't see my SD card nor my thumbdrive via Naviextras.

Was trying to use an SD card first. Then tried phone. If my hard drive is plugged in, which it is, wouldn't it pick it up?

I have my hard drive plugged into there. I guess I could see if it has the same plug as my phone. Other that that, I'm not gonna tear my dash out, pull the radio out and switch cords. Why can't they just go back to the old way, and let us download it to an sd card, plug the sd card into the HU and done?!?!?!

Android Auto does suck for me. It freezes every 15 minutes. Useless. During the short period of time it DOES work, it is very nice.

1 - You cannot reply to a text via the stock 8100. I like that in Android Auto. Push the button on the HU to listen, then push it again to reply. No trying to fumble with phone while driving. A)Illegal very dangerous. 2 - I will have to agree with you on this. 3 - The voice commands have worked fine in AA so far, for me. 4 - The stock BT on the 8100 just plain sucks. People think I always have my windows rolled down when I'm talking. I have moved the mic to a few different locations.

Has anybody else experienced this? I have to either unplug it and plug it back in, restart my trip, or if I'm lucky, just hit the home button on the HU and click back on the app. But I still have to restart my trip. This happens every single time every 10-15 minutes. Very annoying. I have uninstalled the app and redownloaded it. Still the same thing. Using a Nex-8100.

It seems that it freezes, viewing the map, whenever you stop for maybe a minute. I always notice that the freeze point comes at an intersection or whenever I was stuck in traffic.

Well, I uninstalled Android Auto and reinstalled it. The video portion still freezes but the audio continues. Real pain in the ass. 493008, I have the map volumes all the way down to 10%. It did not change the Android Auto voice at all.

Just switched from HTC ONE M7 to an M9

After I get Android plugged in and it is up and running, after about 10-15 minutes it freezes up. Can't switch screens or anything. I have to unplug it and start all over. Anybody else having this happen? Oh and is there a way to control the volume? The navigation lady is damn near blowing my speakers. LOL I tried turning phone volume down but it doesn't work. Anybody?

Couldn't get my 128GB SSD to format to Fat32. Of course, I'm not going to buy any software just to get it to work either.

I have been using a 128GB SSD. Works fine except that it will not let you 'REV' to a previous song. It will only allow you to FFD to the next song. Is anybody else running into that with a SSD? How did you fix if, if you could?

I had the button on my8000, but only when I would go to the navigation part of the unit. This OK screen is right on start up. It SUCKS.

Any way to make the OK screen go away on start up each time?

It has a standard fender mounted antenna.

I recently bought a used Z130 from somebody. Everything works fine except the radio. It will not 'find' any stations. It will stop on a station for a split second then go back to 87.5(I think that is the station) every time. I checked the antenna connection and it is fine. It's not a electric antenna, just a standard antenna. Anybody ever have this happen?

It was still reading format after about 6 hours so I stopped it. Came in and hooked up hard drive to pc. PC will not even read it. It says it is corrupt. I am reformatting it to NTFS and will put a few songs on there to try it. Anybody have any tips and/or suggestions?

OK, so I got the hard drive to format to FAT32. Plugged it in to my 8100 3.5 hours ago. It still says "Format Read". How long should this take? I only have about 3000 songs on a 128GB drive.

Got my 8100 installed yesterday. Downloaded Android Auto when I picked up truck. Works fine. HTC One(M7)

How is everyone formatting the 128gb+ hard drives over to Fat32? I have tried a few different ways but nothing is working.

That's what I did. It said only phones with Lollipop or higher. I am running Lollipop

I just downloaded it on my phone, but all it does is give you the first page with 1 setting. I then checked to see if my phone was compatible. It says only with phones running 5.0 Lollipop or above. My phone does have Lollipop. What is up with that?
