I cant even see te screen..it looks the same when there is power and when there isnt a power source connected. There is a service on ebay for 120 bucks to fix it. Do you think its worth it?

So i just bought a used F90BT from craigslist and the guy said everyone SHOULD work and he hasn't used it in 2 years. I first tested it with a 12v battery and the screen didnt turn on but i could hear the fan so i was thinking that it works but it doesnt have enough power to turn on the screen. Well today, i plugged it into my car and it did the same thing wiht the battery, screen didnt turn on but fan did. Does anyone know what's wrong with it? Is there another test i can do? Or should i just give up and send it in somewhere? If so, where? Thanks.
