  1. I bought a used 2006 Expedition that came with a D3 in it. We noticed that periodically the Address Search, etc was greyed out. I removed the radio and found that all of the connections were just stripped and twisted, in addition, the Parking Brake wire seemed noticably loose. I removed all of the wiring and I soldered and heat shrunk every connection (BTB-200, Sirius and all of the aftermarket harness connectors), I did the bypass as detailed in the stickies. I bought a used 2006 Eddie Bauer Expedition, with Rear DVD and no factory nav. it came with a Avic D3 installed, I had been having problems with it and upon removal it appears that whoever did the install did a very poor job and there are several loose wires that look like they were connected at one time but are no longer. I guess I am looking for 2 things, which wire is the VSS and which is for the reverse signal on the factory harness and if I am not installing a camera, do i even need to worry about the reverse one?
