I too was anoyed with this issue for a while. I now just set the ipod to shuffle songs before I plug in. You can also change the setting with the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

I too am having VR issues. I checked the Pioneer website and there is a firmware update v-3.1 to fix issues with VR. Will reply again after update

Has anyone had issues with imputing coordinates into the avicz130bt? Each time I have tried to input coordinates the unit could not locate.
