  1. I intend to donate anyway to keep it updated. Didn't realize it was pay to use. Which phones has he made it compatible with? I see others have posted theirs but couldn't see his. If it is phone-side only, does it matter which firmware is on the head unit? Do you have to have your phone rooted? My installer has an AppRadio 2 I can test on so I want to make sure I have everything I need on my end. I'm still waiting for Samsung to fix the cut off pixels issue via MHL on the Galaxy S3. Perhaps if others complained... On the note of MHL, how hot does the phone get after hours of use in th
  2. You are so awesome! I looked at those forums... is it only beta right now? I would like to try it out but cannot find the download. Is it phone-side only or does it require firmware changes to the head unit?
  3. Do you need the script to connect to Bluetooth without problems though?
  4. You are awesome! So now that you managed to get full control, does this mean voice commands are transfered through the deck as well? Previously in programs you would hit the button to speak but only the phone itself would accept voice. That, to me, is the next step if it isn't yet completed.
  5. So will it transfer voice commands through Bluetooth in software so we don't have to use Pioneers atrocious setup? If that and Google Navigation work, I'm sold! That's the question though... Why don't these things work normally? Is Pioneer purposely nerfing things?
  6. So is this phone-side software to do what Pioneer is too shitty to accomplish?
  7. Well poop on that. I originally bought Pioneer because I've had good luck with them in the past, but maybe I should change? I'm looking at Alpine's high-end head units, but I don't see any clear mention of whether they will sort music and show album art, etc., only for an iProduct or if from any source. I don't suppose you'd know? I wouldn't bother changing it out just for the navigation if I won't get other features to make up for the loss of voice recognition for navigation. I've also been told their navigation setup is even more out-dated than Pioneer's - even if it is prettier - but I
  8. For those of you who have updated, I have a few questions: 1) Is the 3D navigation actually worth anything or is it still Nintendo-esque 8-bit crapola? 2) Do cities still have names of subrubs in parenthesis after them? It makes it nearly impossible to figure out which city to choose when trying to navigate there! For example, with the 130BT software, navigating to Lincoln, Nebraska, gives you half a dozen cities to choose from and only trial and error will tell you which to choose. It's quite crappy, actually. 3) Are roads drawn smoother? I figure that if the answer to 1 is "no", then t
  9. Pioneer does a crappy job of making that clear. The hope that the maps would be separate were rooted in wanting to keep voice control for navigation.
  10. Apparently it is an actual software upgrade, too, so I've no desire to crack it then. I thought Pioneer was just hording better map data. In fact, in retrospect, despite being a rip off, it shouldn't be cracked regardless.
  11. No, he was pretty clear in his last response.
  12. You make it so difficult to be friendly... I originally thought it was to be one in the same myself, but others have suggested otherwise. It is labeled only as a "map update" by Pioneer, though it does list feature enhancements as well. Is this ambiguity typical of such an upgrade? I would hope that Pioneer would list if it is truly an entire software upgrade since that could mean loss of features like voice recognition for navigation. If it is also an entire software upgrade, it is still a rip-off, but I would pay for it if it is truly improved (though it does not look like it is). As
  13. Competitors do offer free map upgrades, though, so the rip off sentiment is more than valid. If we were just talking about software, then fine. But we aren't.
  14. They told you to do the Z140BH software upgrade as well?! Isn't that like another $120? That's crap! Sounds to me like they are just after more money (which is why we need to have this thing cracked). I'm assuming you have the Z130BT? If that's the case, then we should have you send it to someone who knows how to crack it... Speak up, people!
  15. I wouldn't think so, but that's just my opinion.
  16. Well I don't know how to crack that sort of thing, but as long as Pioneer blatantly rips off customers I have no problem pitching into someone via PayPal. So who cracked it last time? We need to get them on this again.
  17. There is a different update card for you 110 and 120 owners.
  18. So is there anyone interested in getting this going? The Pioneer website shows map updates for the Z130BT for 2012. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/Map-Upgrades/NAVTEQ+2012+Map+Upgrade+for+AVIC-Z130BT,+AVIC-X930BT,+and+AVIC-X9310BT If need be, I can start a new thread solely for the Z130Bt since this particular SD card applies only to that.
  19. Where on their site? Edit: I finally found it.
  20. It's nice to know they're working on getting 4.1 to work when they can't even get 4.0.4 to work! FYI, Samsung is still working on getting the pixel cutoff issues fixed as far as I know.
  21. USB limits current to 500mA when data is also being transfered. If anything Android would have to override that, which is where the custom kernel comes into play. There is no data transfer via an AC adapter, so it can do 1A plus.
  22. I don't think 500mA is the limit. I haven't seen anything to suggest it is. Something else must be the problem, like was mentioned above.
