i purched a copy 100mt software disc which half loaded on my system the i got a message saying please use appropriate disc and it wont work how do i reset the software so i can go back to the old disc HELP PLEASE ANYONE

hi i have the avic x1r and sent it off to have the ribbon replaced when i recieved it back it was 6mts before i fitted it in to my new car now the volume knob wont work but the volume will turn up and down with a remote can anyone tell me if this is a simple problem help please as its doing my head in lol
