  1. Discovered today that if I attach my iPod first, then start the car, disconnect the iPod and plug the iPad in it works fine for music. Will not start apps from the HU (pandora, aha), but gives full access to iPod functions. If you try to get to any other apps directly on the iPad (exit the music player), the HU will throw the error and sut down the USB port. I am guessing the power draw from an iPad is above the threshold for the HU. By attaching the iPod first you are essentially tricking it into thinking an iPod not an iPad is attached. I don't know if there is a chance to damage the HU or n
  2. While this does not solve anything, I am having the exact same problem as the OP with my iPad 2 (3G/Verizon) and my daughter's iPad (original/3G AT&T). Interestingly, it was working fine yesterday and sporadically today (just purchased iPad yesterday). The first time it happened was when I tried to "home" button out of the iTunes app while the music was playing. One time I was able to get it working again by connecting prior to starting the truck/powering up HU. Did not work the second time I tried it. I am going to try a hard reset on the iPad to see if something I have added in the backg
