  1. Success! The video backgrounding feature of Music Controls Pro 6+ works great with AppEx. Just tested it and confirmed touch works on iOS 6. I still have a bit of work to do before I can release an update. I want to try to figure out what the Music Controls app is doing and add the code directly into AppEx. That way we don't have to rely on any secondary apps to keep working and it would make AppEx much more future proof. Stay tuned!
  2. I'll check it out later today and report back. Sounds like the scenario we're looking for.
  3. I have the same problem with the Rdio app. Seems like they broke it in a recent update.
  4. iPhone 5 support: Yes. I'm going to add proper support for other TV out solutions so the AppRadio app can just act as a launcher. Not sure why AppEx can't mirror properly. Including touch: Not sure. Depends on what happens with Backgrounder or accessing the Pioneer API.
  5. Looking into it now. Flex just helped me figured out how to fix the iOS 5 version of AppEx for the latest AppRadio app, for anyone still on the old OS.
  6. The Siri button will only show up and work on the 4S. I'm waiting on some news about backgrounding as well. Once that happens, I can start figuring out how to get touch controls back. You need AppRadio app v1.8.2 and AppEx 2.0.1-1 (Cydia). I never tested on an iPod Touch but that is the only configuration that will work on iOS 5. Maybe something else installed is conflicting with it?
  7. Apple recently released an update for the ATV that allows you to connect bluetooth keyboards.
  8. Sounds possible, though it would be completely different from the iPhone version of AppEx. Do you know what Bluetooth profile is used for communication?
  9. That is an old version in the video. The 'TV Out' section was renamed to 'Unsupported Apps'. The iOS 6 version also requires the parking brake bypass to view apps.
  10. I dont see this issue on my 4S running 6.1.2. Do you have anything else installed that may be conflicting with AppEx? What AppRadio model are you using? You don't have to uninstall first. Just install the new version over it. The version of AppEx in Cydia is the latest for iOS 5. I removed the iOS 5 update from the first post because it needed a lot more work than just fixing the icons in the menu.
  11. Install Quasar Plug the iPad into the head unit Launch the AppRadio app Launch another app See if the AppRadio app stays on the head unit while you use the other app on your phone. You may have to try changing some settings, never used Quasar before. Edit: The description for the app says "Not compitable with iOS 6". Edit 2: The dev is still working on the update. Source
  12. It's very possible. Does anyone have an iPad to try it out? Or how do you get it on the iPhone?
  13. Latest AppRadio app, AppEx in the first post, still no touch control. I recommend adding the repo to Cydia so you can keep up to date with the betas. Basically anything that lets you view the AppRadio app on the head unit and another app on the iPhone. You have to remove the beta repo from Cydia to see the old version.
  14. Sounds like it should be possible. I'll add it to the todo list, but may not get to it right away. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Thats awesome. I'll have that fixed in beta 7. AppEx 2.0.1 doesn't work with the latest version of the AppRadio app running on iOS 5. You either have to downgrade to v1.8.2 of the AppRadio app or upgrade to iOS 6 (losing touch functionality). I recommend downgrading to v1.8.2 of the AppRadio app if possible.
  15. I sent you an update, should be in you inbox. Can you let me know if that version works?
  16. How does removing the apps from the list fix the issue? If you remove it from the list, it doesn't mirror...
  17. The beta doesn't work on iOS 5 yet. Focusing on iOS 6 first. You may have already mentioned it in a previous post, but what worked better for you in beta 3? I'll see if I can fix your issue in the next build. You can change the beta number in the link in the first post to access old versions. Edit: Nevermind, found the link to your video.
  18. I've been reading all of the posts but haven't had time to look into/reply to them yet. I'll follow up later today. Edit: Can everyone who is having problems post their iPhone model, AppRadio model, and AppRadio firmware version?
  19. I added a link to my repo in the first post so you can update to the latest beta via Cydia. Beta 5 is still the latest.
  20. I think I'm going to host my own repo so I can make sure it's always up to date. For example, I pulled beta 4 because it was unstable so no one should be downloading it. Can you remove it from yours? I appreciate the help though. What do you mean by "reduced image reflected on the stereo"? I don't jave an iPhone 5 so I'm interested to know how it works with the taller screen size.
