  1. Thanks for the excellent info... Is there a place where I could check for when a new update comes out for the Z130? As for it, the upgrade you talked about wont fit on it right? It needs to be solely for Z130BT for the upgrade to work? For the no signal thing - I have installed the VSS but not the backup. Could it be the issue? Thanks again! JF
  2. Hello, First, I'm trying to get some information regarding how map upgrade works. I might not use the right terms, but I can't find anything (if it's not because I have a 3 letter word i.e.: map. I am used to Garmin's GPS unit where they upgrade around 4 times a year. On Pioneer sites, for the Z130BT I don't see any information regarding the possibility of updating the current maps (US & Canada). Where should I look for map upgrades? How many times a year does Pioneer update their maps? Any cost related to that? Second, I had to park inside a big mall; I am used to get a "no s
  3. Wow, what's that? a Fake faceplate? Where did you get that? Thanks! JF
  4. I have a remote to start my car and it has a blue led flashing light. I guess this would be enough? JF
  5. Hey guys, I just bought Z130BT and I was a proud owner of a Pioneer Premier 940MP for around 10 years. Before that, I got robbed once in full daylight because I forgot to remove my faceplate of my older HU. Now, with the Z130BT, I tend to freak out as there is no way to remove the faceplate. How do you guys keep it low profile not to catch theft attention? I was thinking of increasing my windows tint, but if there are better solutions, let me know so I can sleep a bit better... Thanks! JF
  6. Again, thank you for your help. After several hours trying to find and get to the White/Green behind the Instrument Cluster, I made it! I manage to lift the dash enough so I could see the connector on the instrument panel and found the wire. I don't know if I am supposed to see the speed on the Z130BT, but I don't see it. GPS seems to work ok though. I have set the GPS module on top of the Z130BT unit near the edge of it. I am pretty happy with the purchase yet. The only thing that I am paranoying is the fact that the face plate is not detachable. I ran a Pioneer Premier 940MP for 10 y
  7. Hi, What is / where is the Instrument Cluster and Driver Kick Panel? Sorry, my main language is french and I am not too familiar with technical terms when it comes to car, so I need a bit more explaination. Ooops... :S I guess the Instrument Cluster is where the speedometer is, right? And the kick panel is just beneath the Instrument Cluster? Thank you for taking the time to help! JF
  8. Thanks for the reply Maik1; here is what I have behind the glove box (see pics). Anything sounds familiar to you regarding where the VSS could be? Some say red wire, other purple, but I am not sure I saw a purple wire. I tried to take a better pictures of the 3 sets of wires but they where too rigid to be moved, so we are missing some wires underneath the others. Also, I could have had the OEM Navigation Unit when I bought my car in 2004. Instruction manual mentions the Navigation unit. I read here somewhere that there might be an unused wire off the main Radio Harness that could have the
