  1. I want to understand how to turn off the HU while the car is running. I want to know this in case I forget to reset the bypass switch before turning on the radio. Right now the only way I know to turn it off is to turn off the car, take out the key, and open the door. Manual says to hold SRC/OFF until it powers down. When I hold the SRC *button* the screen goes blank with the only option "SourceOff" in the corner of the screen. If I touch that icon on the screen it switches to a slightly different screen, but doesn't turn off. There is no way to hold the "SourceOff" button down until
  2. Ah, well now we're on the same page. I'm probably not going to put any effort into a tethered jailbreak. Rumor mill says iOS 5 (should be out this fall) *may* support display output. *fingers crossed*
  3. The only jailbreak I can find is 'redsn0w.' (tethered) is that what y'all are using? Btw, I have the Verizon iPhone, so 4.2.1 is the newest iOS I'm aware of. Back to spotify; I'm not having any luck with the album covers showing up. Could you imagine what I'm not doing?
  4. Found a new stereo shop that got it cleared up by actually following the bypass diagram posted on this forum. Last time I'll be workin with that first guy... Now as soon as they get a good jailbreak for 4.2.10....
  5. This thread just keeps getting better. If only the guy I payed could give me some good news. What do you mean by 'genuine lead?' I bought the pioneer cable that they listed for A/V(______ 200V), and my install guy swears up and down he installed the bypass relay correctly.
  6. Had my AVH 4300DVD HU installed a week ago. Just got the iPhone cable in. Went by the place that installed it so they could help me get it set up. They told me it would play video, but when I tested it with apps it wouldn't work. They went on to tell me I wasn't using the right apps, so I pointed out that on Pioneer's site they claimed it would play youtube. They then went on to say you need to do more research. Before I went in I even browsed this forum and found that an improperly installed bypass relay may be the cause of the video playback not functioning. I found the schematic someone
  7. Really happy to see these pictures. I've been waiting on my pioneer ____200V cable(can't remember the exact name) for a week and finally got it and plugged it in today. Unfortunately the video isn't working yet. I'm still troubleshooting why and I don't want to hijack your thread, but I'm just happy to see that you have spotify up on the display. Looks like I'll have to jailbreak my iPhone now. (I hope there are no big downsides to that. :/) One burning question though... I have the 4300dvd; will I have all of the same display capabilities you're showing off a few posts up?
