Ok so im not sure whats going on if ithere is something in the settings to fix this
but the feture that you can use to enter your gas pump and prices paid that calculates the amount of fuel with the miels driven to give you a estimate MPG
well it always for the past 3 months of ownership stored the miles when i would reset it and then drive say 300 miles and pump up again it would know that i drove 300 miles
now every time i go into that feature to enter the gas pumped and fuel price the
miles driven since last fill up do not show up i have to enter them manualy
any help with what is going on and how to fix this
greatly apreciated thank you

I called Pioneer to ask there tech support about this cause i couldn't find it also
they said it doesn't exsist in there systems we can search by intersection or high exit or entrance ramp
i guess i miss these fucntions that my 8 yeaer old factory navigation offered
but then again now i have BT and other features wich are nice
but would be nice to see if anything comes up new when the 940 comes out this spirng
maybe the new maps will have road speed limits on it
also might give you the name of the city also perhaps
-
but yeah if you want GPS get the X if you jsut want dvd then go for the P
-
iether way you are gona have to wait a few months untill the 940 comes out

HI does anyone know where i can pick up the straps that are used for mounting the steering wheel control braket onto the steering wheel
i can't belive the price that Pioneer wants for replacment straps 2 peaces of rubber i forget but i think it was like 20 bucks plus shipping no way
so does anyone know where i can get new ones without paying that much
thank you
-
I know i have been wondeirng about that on my 930 also
seems that it eithere is not working because i am using a bypass and harness for my Factory bose speakers or it has something to do with the Bypass from what Pioneer over the phone told me
yes i told them i have it bypassed and they had no problem still helping me with it
the fact that i have not registred my unit yet and i can register it any time but i dont even need to contact them for warranty issues because i got the black ties service plan for 4 years from Best buy
they don't really even care that i have it bypassed
-
I also wonder if with Navteq they will be adding highway speed limits like i have on my Handlead window mount garmin
i wanted to go with Kenwood because they used Garmine but i was not happy with the Delarty in the firmware that could have been fixed for the lagging
so i went with Pioneer

Ok cool thank you im gona make sure to do that

My problem is i hardly ever use the CD Dvd drive
so its sitting there collecting dust for say 2 months at a time and then all of a sudden i decide to play a movie or listen to a CD and i nee dto clean it out
something els i was thinking about was maybe a can of compressed air with a long nozle stick it in there and spray it for a second or 2
but would that do any damage ?
-
ah ok thank you
i know my friend used his Maxwell in his D3 series and it works fine but i can't find his acact disc anywhere anymore i guess its not being made anymore
hmm ok well i guess thats why having the Best Buy 4 year program wich includes cleaning once per year is good that just means ill probably be withou the system for up to 2 weeks i bet whyll they send it into there place and have it taken apart and cleaned properly
i know i have had some CD drivers on a few of my cars like the BMW 740 it sat for 5 years collecting dust i finaly had it towed to the dealer to have them change all the fluids and check it to make sure it was safe before turning on
and they got it starts i was alll ready to pop my CD In and cruise 1200 miles down to south florida
and the cd player didn't work i stopped and bought cleaning disc at CVS and popped it in let it run for a few minutes and then presto my CD worked again after about 3 or 4 tries with the cd cleaner
same thing happend with the GMC jimmy and my Lincoln Mark VIII i let them sit for a few years and they collected so much dust and dirt that it got threw to the system drive and took a few tries with the lense cleaner but got the cd players to work again
how often would you recommend Cleaning the system out by opening it up
should it be done twice a year once a year once ever 3 years or should you never have to do it ?
-
what cd or cleaning utility disc do you use for you X930bt unit or other units
i have gone threw 4 laser lence cd and dvd cleaning disc and non of them want to work
every now and then i can get it to work after 7 or 8 times of putting it in and taking it out
but i want one that will work and im tired of going into store after store to find one that does not thanks any help wouldbe great

I just hope that this thing has accurate maps and all for the State of FL cause im moving there next month
and i want to know im gona have good reception and that the maps will be good but i know i got the 2011 version so i should be good
i figure if the new maps for 2012 are navteq and they are better then that would be the only reason i would update so early but usualy i wait till a map is 2 years or 3 years old before i go to update again
-
Got a response from Pioneer about the new maps. The map GUI is the same as it is now but uses navteq map data. So no new in-action screenshots
Update for older units comes "later this year".
so does this mean that when the new updates up came latter in the year for the 930 unit that it will be from Navteq data base ?
i think Navteq is better then what are they using now telatlas ? or something like that
?

its really annoying i stopped using the BT because of that and now only use the Ipod when i need it to be charged and when not charging or plugged in i use the SD for the Audio
i am really dis pointed with the way this is
i think pioneer needs to figure this problem out and fix it
-
I wonder if that means that they will have Navteq maps that will work for the 930 also
or would that mean a total firmware update would be needed also ?
-
check the volum on the iphone make sure you Ipod volum is not turned all the way down
sometimes id say 8 out of every 10 times i synch up it turns the Volum down all the way on the ipod but only for BT audio
-
i usualy keep a system for 2 years tops maybe 3
but
didn't i hear some ppl complaning about how pioneer left those with the 920 in the thin ear cause they aren't doing anyting for it anymore
-
I wonder if this means that pioneer will leave the 930 dead in the water and forget about sofware or firmwar updates for us to get us to buy the 940 instead
I know the only problem i am having is if i use my Iphone for audio stream from Blue Tooth that when i first synch with the system it will always turn the volum on my iphone all the way down
and i am or was hoping they would have a firmware or software update fix for this but now im guessing with the 940 comming out they will just say the heck with the 930 users
-
What remote?
I get it the OP is a troll ok but before you even knew they where a troll did you really have to be that rude you could have just said this 999 dollar unit does not come with a reomote LOL
ok no to the Troll OP
appl isn't going anywhere atleast not at the moment
all thought i think the Iphone is about as ho as a Palm Treo used to be back in the day cause now everyone can get a iphone verison t-mobil att and even go in and buy an unlocked one from apple so im not buying another one thats for sure
still
you can add a remote you need a PAC wire harness and a Pioneer remote you can search more on it it
-
may the mic is the issue call pioneer maybe they will send out a replacement
hmm i had no idea you could buy seprate mics that would work with these units
-
Screw ppl that sue that is the damm reason why insurance is so freaking high in the U.S.A im moving to Florida next month and my I.N.S is going up because more ppl sue in florida
-
where exactly do you have the Mic Located also what kind fo car do you have
it all comes down to atleast how i see it is how noisy your cabin compartment is and if its sound isolated or insulated or just built of cheap materials
also do you have it near the A Pillars or the Windows or doors closer to those the more noise it will pick up
do you have the back of the mic up agains anyting ?
if so that could be your issue
the voice needs to be able to go somewhere after it hits the mic and having the mic set up with no place for air behind it would cause bad nois also
-
hm ok guess i have to call Piioneer on this one and ask
-
i have Iphone 4 with latest software
and only trouble i have is when pairing it will turn the volum on my phone all the way down kind of anoying doens't even allow me to just keep it in my pocket cause i always have to pull it out to turn the volume up ok that didn't sound to good LOL
