up... driving at night with regular mode is death with limo tinted windows...

I am going to the shop today to wire the 12v to the illuminatio wire. However, I have the mute wire setup changed so that I can drive and watch dvd's is that going to be a problem??? I have a 2006 Audi A4 that I have the D3 installed in. For some reason the night mode won't initiate when headlights are turned on.. Is there any mod or hack that will activate this feature? Driving at night with daytime mode is quite bright! I also turned on the daytime/nighttime feature in the settings menu with no luck. TIA Everyone!!

The audi's have sensors on the stock radio that determine whether or not its night or day...

Had the stereo installed at best buy... great install btw. But my night mode does not change when at night. I have it turned on for night mode and everything... With it on normal mode at night its way to bright for comfort. I drive a 2006 Audi A4. Thanks for any help!

Just installed my Avic D3 and want to begin customizing!

The install shop said that info didn't help them... It is an 06 B7 A4 and we cannot find the VSS wire unfortunately.

Nope standard... but I did rewire all the door speakers and installed seperates. I currently am running the symphony II with a blaupunkt adapter to allow for rca outs.

If you could send me pics or info on all the items that were needed to make it fit in replacement of the stock unit that would be great! I just ordered the metal cage from pioneer so hopefully that is something that I needed lol.

I need to know if it is going to be a dificult install and what adapters faceplates etc that I need... Thanks!!

Does anybody have any tips or tricks for me? I am new to the whole navigation unit stuff. I usually do all my mods to my own car should I pay for the install or do it myself? TIA! slimcubby
