  1. Ahhh, I gotcha. I just thought it would use the car as a receiver and wouldn't make a difference so long as it is mounted on metal. Well, I guess I'll just leave it where it is and then call pioneer to see if the two antenns can be mounted next to eachother... Thanks for all your help with this! ~Keith
  2. I thought that is where all GPS antennas have to go? That's where I already have my navi antenna mounted. I have te wiring underneath the weather stripping on my dirvers side t-top. I was going to run the XM Nav Traffic antenna the same way but on the passenger side. Then have the two antenna meet eachother side by side in the middle of the roof right behind the "T". Would that be sufficient or do I need to distance the two antennas a certain amount to get optimal reception? ~Keith You don't necessarily need your GPS antenna to be on your roof. Most have chosen to mount their antennas

  4. I'm talking about my Avic antenna for nav, plus the XM antenna which makes two different antennas. ~K
  5. Yeah, I just called and also looked on their site. They actually make two different units. One is just XM Radio and the other is XM Radio and XM Nav Traffic combined. I'm looking for the Nav Traffic option online now. I'm a little upset about having to run another antenna though. I wish nav and xm could just work off the same antenna. I'm very limited on space and routing options. Any idea if I can put the two antennas side by side or do they have to be a certain distance away from eachother? ~Keith
  6. Do I need to obtain another unit to plug into the AVIC D3 in order to receive XM Radio? If so, what unit goes with the D3? If not, how do I get into the XM section so I can get the radio code and set up my XM Radio? Thanks so much! ~Keith
  7. Thank you very much. It is highly modified and is sponsored by several leading manufacturers. What makes it so unique is the fact that it is a daily driver (in the warmer months) and still used to race road courses and drifting competitions. People are amazed when I show up with a trailer full of goodies and esentially use none of them of evem more, don't strip out the interior. I've worked very hard on the machine and have much more to go with her. As for the VSS, I'm confused on what kind of signal the AVIC is looking for. Esentially your speed signal comes off the IDM which has anywher
  8. Does anyone know where I can find further information on obtaining the VSS and reverse wires on my MR2? Maybe by a small chance someone already has done this and knows exactly what wires I need? I know the vehicle is very old so many of you may not have any idea but any advice on where to search for this info would be GREATLY appreciated... TIA! ~Keith
