yeah it helps. they gave me $1200 extra for the Navi, so I didnt lose anything. I am going to get a new one though now that I KNOW it fits

that sucks b/c I had the D3 installed in my 03 and when I traded it in for the 07, Crutchfield reported that it didnt fit so I left it in my old vehicle.

Does anyone know for a fact if the D3 will fit in an 07 Avy? Crutchfield says no but according to the specs it does.

I did the bypass and everything seemed to work fine, the only thing is when the car reaches 5 mph, the bypass doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions?

I would put it in the factory location which is under the upper dash attached to the metal brace. That's where I put mine and the reception is excellent. I put mine on a small sheetmetal plate since I was missing the one that comes with it. Do you have a pic?

I was thinking about mounting my antenna in my engine compartment. Anyone have suggestions where I could mount it where it's NOT visible and has excellent reception in an Avalanche?
