  1. so upon closer inspection I found the cause of the problem, I small grain of sand was wedged between the screen and the ledge, managed to get it out, indentation gone screen is back to normal!!!! how's that for DIY, thanks for the input pionara
  2. nevermind I found a seller on ebay, going to double with them for model specifics, I know someone that's experienced in installing delicate electronics and they've offered to help, thanks for the help, I'll keep posting for the final fix.
  3. no zap, I could see the indentation on the screen, its right where the setting anf eq button is, its right at the edge of the ledge of the screen so not sure how that happened, where can I get the part??
  4. still doing the same things, any solutions? or do I have to cut my losses
  5. ran calibration, seems a little better...but hard to tell with only couple minutes use.
  6. soft lens wipe dry and didn't press hard, its just dust.
  7. now it goes into function/setting screens without touching the screen.
  8. i've had the headunit just over a year and today i wiped down the screen from the dust build up. i get in several hours later and the touch seems out of calibration, and wont sense where i'm touching or even at all. can anyone chime in on this? i havent updated software since purchase.
  9. ok so last night i powered up the HU on my bench and ran a switch from the PB to ground, and i didnt move the mute wire. the screen plays as soon as the switch is on and goes off with a warning display with the switch off. So i'am i missing something here? why does the mute have to be moved?
  10. sorry i was confused when i posted the vss. So the ebrake needs to be grounded right? as for the toggle switch method, i'd like to have the use of a toggle switch to turn the bypass on and off. do i follow the mute wire relocation and be able to add a toggle switch in between?
  11. just purchased the z130bt and would like to do the bypass but would to use the toggle switch method, i know the vss and ebrake need to be grounded right?
