I take it the reaon why most upgrades cost around $200 is because I think they add more than just a map update. Maybe new features and what not but I think these 2008 discs are just maps thats why they so cheap. I was told that next year there will be a big upgrade for 2009. That's what Pioneer told me

Im in Toronto and I subscribed to this service as well and I can't REALLY complain about it. Im gettin up to date messages about accidents, construction, etc and the icons all over the screen. I only took for 3 months JUST to see what its about and then I got my renewal and my XM Navtraffic was free. But as for that message ur gettin I never seen or heard of it before.

Yes we do know that BUT who has an N5??? Cause as of right now we only have the west coast disc to burn. I don't know how the dude got an N5 and only has a west coast disc but we have no east coast disc to burn. So to make a long story short we shit outta luck.

Man I dyin to have the east coast disc but it seem like ain't none out there or if there is one somebody don't wanna let us download it. I dunno, reach the point I jus give up. If it come out it come out.

Okay people I finally called Pioneer and gave em shit over the map discs updates being released and was told by the representitive that they will be released but not sure when. He also stated to me that it ain't even worth the purchase cause all it is is a MAP UPDATE and thats it. He also stated that its better to wait until next year when they actually release a FULL UPGRADE version for the AVIC systems. He said ain't that much difference with the 80MT from the 70MT. I dunno what to say but thats the info I was giving from Pioneer. So I guess its a wait and see game once again and it also ex

I read on this forum a few days ago there is a way to reset the system so u are able to use the older versions once again. I can't remember what thread it was tho but there is a way.

Well that is true BUT the keyword is USUALLY and as of right now its way better than waitin on Pioneer to release em. Pioneer may never release these discs.

Okay so I been readin the forums and have noticed that "intmedhead" has the new N5... Now Im basically beggin "intmedhead" to download IF possible the N5 East Coast disc for us D3'ers Pleeeeeeeeeeeease??? Do that ONE lil favor and be a hero "intmedhead". Help us out

No need to rub it in Im still on the hunt for the east coast disc but no luck... Called up my boy today at work and they don't have ANY N5's NOR any N4's I think Pioneer might be gettin ROBBED by me in the days to come if they keep this shit up.

Jus a small update. As we all kno we on a mission tryin 2 get the new EAST COAST 2008 disc correct??? Well I called my friends work to see if he back at work and he was in today BUT left early. Im a call him tomorrow cause they say he in and ask if they have the AVIC N5 in and if so Im a ask him to lend me the EAST COAST disc IF they got it. And thats when y'all come in and guide me on how to upload it. BUt remember thats IF he gots them in.

Im real grateful for what all the members have done for each other BUT just curious on how u only get the west disc in the package thats all.

No disrespect to anybody but how do u manage to get an N5 with only the west disc? Was that question already asked and answered? It jus puzzels me... I even tried callin an audio store my friend works at to see if he had any N5's in and to lend me the demo disc to burn but he been off work since he broke his leg. Its out there BUT to find it

Finally got this damn thing to burn. Had to buy a new burner as my old one was an older model which restricted me from burnin certin DVD's. Now Im on the hunt for the East disc but havin NO LUCK... Has to be out there some hwere BUT WHERE??? Been googlin and what not but no luck. Dammit lets all pull together
