  2. I jus updated the drive from the LG website. I now have the A306 version installed. I erased MagicISO off my comp and gonna try this from scratch and see wats up.

Startin to think it might be my burner. I have a GSA-4160B and its dual layer but I did exactly what the direction stated. I just got an error statin " Invalid field in parameter list" and what not

That's an old burner. First see if there are firmware upgrades for that burner by clicking on the link below:

    http://cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/Si ... riveId=984

Second, there is a "Book Type" setting in imgburn that you should verify. It's in the lower right hand corner of the program. Confirm you have it set for DVD-ROM under the dual layer setting.

Note that if you update the firmware of your LG, you may need to reset the book type setting.

Hey Itchy I been to that site and it tranfers me to some asian site and I can't ready what is writin. Is there an english version?

just go to cdrinfo.com, select download, then firmware, then your drive type: IDE, LG, model #. Download the latest firmware.

  6. I know all that. ALl I wanna do is burn this west coast disk and have it ready for when I travel to L.A. this winter. But I know I will have the 2008 east disk by then. All I wanna do is get this to an ISO file and burn it successfully and have it ready for when I need it. But for some reason Im doin somethin wrong and I jus dunno what it is y'all

  7. kryngle the west disk wont work for u if u live in toronto u need the east disk..if u have put the disk in and it wont read it roll back to you old dvd's

I know but I will be makin a trip to L.A. this winter so I would like to have this disk as well. I havent even got to the stage of even testin this in the D3 since Im still tryin to get a successful burn... Shit I sound so damn annoyin. SOrry everybody its jus fustrating not gettin this to work out for me

  8. IF ANYONE HAS SUCCESSFULLY USED THIS FILE TO UPDATE THE D1, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Kryngle - If you have already decompressed the original UIF file to ISO, then all you have to do is choose to write an ISO to a disk, select ISO, insert DL disk, and burn.

Thats the problem. After I decompress the file I select "Burn CD/DVD with ISO" and it jus wont work. And thats me usin MagicISO. When usin Imgburn Im jus lost. I don't even know where to begin. I had to go out and buy a pack of 5o Dual Layer Memorex DVD+R for $34It jus reach the point I don't know wat to do :x

  9. I dunno what to say but Im havin the MOST problem. MagicISO wont work for me, I even decompressed it, same shit. Imgburn wont work for me. I used 5 dual layer dvd's already and bullshit. I dunno what the hell Im doin wrong here but Im havin not luck what so ever. Dunno wat Im doin wrong

  10. I downloaded the program and what not like u said but its when Im in imgburn is where I get lost. I have never used imgburn before to actually know what to be doin... Sorry to sound like a nOObie but with imgburn I am one

Okay people need ur help big time. I am usin MagicISO and it will not let me burn it with the Trial version so I had to decompress UIF the file and it reads 7.92GB. After thats all said and done how do I convert this file to an ISO and how do I burn it in Image burn???

Dude, you must have skipped my post or didn't understand it. Download the program I posted and follow the directions. It will convert the .uif to an .iso file.

  11. well i got it downloaded and burned to a DL disk. first one i used magic ISO and it didnt work. then tried Imgburn and it worked first time! indeed it's a upgrade. and havent knoticed any map updates yet but sofar i'm happy! i need to send ya a beer :D

BUT how do u use imgburn??? This is where im havin mad problems. I decompressed the file on MagicISO and now Im tryin to burn it on Imgburn. What am I doin wrong here people?
