I jus updated the drive from the LG website. I now have the A306 version installed. I erased MagicISO off my comp and gonna try this from scratch and see wats up.
Startin to think it might be my burner. I have a GSA-4160B and its dual layer but I did exactly what the direction stated. I just got an error statin " Invalid field in parameter list" and what notThat's an old burner. First see if there are firmware upgrades for that burner by clicking on the link below:
http://cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/Si ... riveId=984
Second, there is a "Book Type" setting in imgburn that you should verify. It's in the lower right hand corner of the program. Confirm you have it set for DVD-ROM under the dual layer setting.
Note that if you update the firmware of your LG, you may need to reset the book type setting.
Hey Itchy I been to that site and it tranfers me to some asian site and I can't ready what is writin. Is there an english version?
just go to cdrinfo.com, select download, then firmware, then your drive type: IDE, LG, model #. Download the latest firmware.

SOrry everybody its jus fustrating not gettin this to work out for me

IF ANYONE HAS SUCCESSFULLY USED THIS FILE TO UPDATE THE D1, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
Kryngle - If you have already decompressed the original UIF file to ISO, then all you have to do is choose to write an ISO to a disk, select ISO, insert DL disk, and burn.
Thats the problem. After I decompress the file I select "Burn CD/DVD with ISO" and it jus wont work. And thats me usin MagicISO. When usin Imgburn Im jus lost. I don't even know where to begin. I had to go out and buy a pack of 5o Dual Layer Memorex DVD+R for $34It jus reach the point I don't know wat to do

The pioneer site says the N5 comes with the old ones. These are the old ones right? The red ones are the old and the green ones are the new I'm assuming. Here is a link to the N5 specs that say what disc they use. I'm I completely wrong here?
