Well I'm having trouble accessing the update card.
Stick it in the computer and it's saying no disk inserted.
Think I need to try a linux based machine......
-
Just got this through the post today and updating as I type this.
No idea what it'll offer yet but reading the blurb it's mainly iPhone updates and obviously the maps.
Yet to look to see if the maps are compatible with earlier models but will see what happens....
-
I've been keeping an eye for 2014 updates.
Not confident they will be released.
The 2014 maps are out for the F50BT, F950DAB etc but not the models here.
I've just purchased the F50BT updates so will be interesting to see if the maps can be transferred over to a hacked F930BT update file or not....
-
Everything you need is here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/37407-2013-eu-update-f30-f930-f9310-f40-f940-f840-f8430/

They usually release them end of June to end of July or so.
Unfortunately Pioneer have a habit of not supporting after 2 years hence the need to hack the upgrades.
Hopefully though the F940 will be supported for this year. After that the 950s etc all use a different architecture so aren't compatible.
-
Also try downloading again in case some of the files are corrupt.
Is the SD card good?
-
Agreed. The F950DAB is worse. The amount of videos that the 930 read that the 950 doesn't is quite shocking. Biggest problem I think is the deal they've done with DivX probably means they're not allowed to support more than they do.
-
What was wrong with USB? I never seemed to have any issues to be honest.
-
As a heads up for this update, use this post for the offset: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35523-remove-caution-nag-screen-bypass-hack/page-7&do=findComment&comment=269273
And follow the instructions for the very 1st post for instructions.
-
If you apply the update then using testmode to get the files back off then it's easy enough. Worked on my F930. No need to reapply the update as it's already been installed.
Just follow the instructions for the mods in their relevant threads but bear in mind all the offsets are different so read the instructions carefully. The file structures are the same so should be simple enough.

Here's the latest update for the entire unit including BT: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/37407-2013-eu-update-f30-f930-f9310-f40-f940-f840-f8430/

Can the file from Pionara also be used for an F940BT?
Yes it can, Pionaras file is used with all updates 30 and 40 series models.
Ignore the cardinfo file, not for you.
-
Pionara,
Just want to say thank you for the cracked files. Did try PMing you but wouldn't go through.
-
The 50 interface is based on new processor architecture as well so porting it would be extremely difficult as all the coding is completely different.
I must say having used both the 930 firmware is much better in many aspects. Simple tasks like rerouting round traffic jams can be done manually whereas on the 50 you have to wait for the headunit to decide whether it wants to reroute. If I could have kept the older 930 system and just added DAB software and hardware to it that would have been the best option for me.
-
If you continue having issues maybe try downloading again in case the files corrupted during download.
-
You got it. Will add to the first post later.
-
There are a few small changes on the f930 like the guide lines for reversing camera. There were a couple of others but it's mainly about more up to date mapping and device compatibility for Android and iphone devices.
-
For those who have donated up to now, thank you so much, it is really appreciated.
Will be getting further updates as and when they become available and will definitely share them with you all.

Hi, take attached CARDINFO.Cif
Or
Open the original in text editor, search and replace this:
KJJARRH8R51UX72EUR
With
X07EURX27EURX30EUR
It will work, flashed my F20 this morning on my way to work and it worked like a charm.
Added to first post. Thank you.

I have uploaded the files here:
http://www.4shared.com/rar/mwirjwPQ/pioneer_2013_updatepart1.html
The password for the archives is:openmeup2013Special thanks to Pionara for the crack which can be found here:
http://avic411.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=15552
Couldn't have done it without his skill.
For those who are wanting to run this on other earlier headunits then try this cardinfo file that Travolta supplied:
http://avic411.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=15554
So far it's confirmed on a F20 headunit so may work on others.
Any of the above try at your own risk, I am in no way responsible if you brick your headunits.
INSTRUCTIONS (supplied by Travolta)
To do the update on an F930BT you just have to:
01) Download the files from the links above.
02) Extract them to a safe place.
03) Open the extracted folders and go into the Update folder
04) Replace the VERINFO.DAT with the above one.
05) Copy everything you extracted onto a clean 4GB+ SD Card which has been FAT32 Complete Formated
(make sure that the files and folders on the root of the SD card are:
FIRMWARE (folder)
Update (folder)
CARDINFO.cif
06) Put it in your Car (with the engine running or on a charger etc)
07) The Pioneer will ask you if you want to run the update choose ((yes)) the device will reboot and start the update.
08) Wait untill the update is completed
09) Once completed, it may ask you to update again, if so, select ((No)).
10) If you want to update your Bluetooth firmware then, enter Bluetooth settings and update the bluetooth firmware.
Please be sure that you did everything as mentioned above. It's better to make a backup of your system before updating. For those with Avic F10BT, F20BT or F920Bt
Download the CARDINFO.CIF from above.
OR
Open the original CARDINFO.CIF in text editor, search and replace this:
KJJARRH8R51UX72EUR
With
X07EURX27EURX30EUR
If you did everything correctly, you will have your AVIC updated to version 5.0 with the newest Europe Maps
TIPS
You have to apply the update before you can do any modding to remove nag screens etc. All system files have to be original.
Backup your TTS language files if you use anything other than English files before flashing as you may lose them and they revert to English.
If you didn't backup your TTS files some of you may be lucky. Frisk has created a thread listing a few of the TTS files.
Can be found here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/37449-get-your-tts-files-backup-for-avic-f930btf940bt-here/

Time to simplify..........
Opened this thread to combine links to one place.

Can anyone confirm if this works yet?

Alexis, I sent you the password. Check your PM.
F50 F950 and F850 2014 update available

There are a few updates and the maps are far more recent compared to the 2013 maps.
Unfortunately I couldn't get the data off the SD card, the laptop doesn't recognise it nor my phone or desktop.
I can only assume either it uses a bespoke FS or it was wiped after install to stop people sharing them.
