  1. OK gotcha. GMOS4 II is my second one. I had the D3 at first but I sent it back along with the first GMOS4 II. I had problems with that one at first, this is why I got the Z1 and asked crutchfield to send me a replacement GMOS4 II. Is Metra the only vendor who offers the bose adapter (GMOS4 II)?
  2. Can any assit with explaining why the Z1 plays music for a bit, then it goes slient. FYI...I am using the a GMOS4 II. This is the adapter for Bose factory unit and onstar system. Any ideas why I lose sound whether it be the radio, XM, cd/dvd, or even my ipod?
  3. If I am not mistaken Misfit you were the one that made the comment....."oo cranky". I wasn't trying to read into his comment but since this is my first time on here, I am not sure about the forum culture. No problem. Thanks for all the help. I will figure something out.
  4. NP. I am just upset with the fact that the specialist from Pioneer provided me with the wrong information. I really don't want to remove a cd to place the Nav cd to give me my destination. This is why I was asking about the Z2 to see if it can be modified to view a dvd while driving.
  5. Look...this is a informational website. If I received confirmation from Pioneer/Tech before I purchased the unit, then that is on them providing the wrong info. Its their product. I invested to much time and money to receive the run around. This is why I am reaching out through this site for help. Keep your negative remarks to yourself.
  6. I am thinking about getting rid of my D3 since I can't store the Nav disk information to the harddrive. I am looking at the Z2. Is there a way to configure the unit to watch DVD's while driving. I was able to with the D3 but of course the system is still rebooting.
  7. So the purpose of the 15 gig harddrive is just to store you previous routes? Here is the link from the Pioneer website http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... sComponent
  8. I contacted Crutchfield. They are sending out a new replacement GM adapter. Question though. How can you save the Nav CD to the harddrive for the D3
  9. OK I will re-check the wiring and the version #. Thanks and I will keep you posted on the outcome.
  10. So pretty much you are suggesting that I replace the GM adapter? Is there anything that I can check before assuming the adapter is defective?
  11. I am having problems with my D3. I have a 2003 Yukon with the Bose system. Unit is Rebooting, shuts off, loud noises, mutes after reboots this is all while driving. I purchased the GMOS-04 adapter that was recommended.
