  2. Maybe misfit or cntrl can speak up I have my D3 in my 06 Sonata GLS and with the bluetooth and ipod hooked up the unit simply doesnt wanna sit far enough back to where the adapter plate can sit flush with the dash and allow the two side panels to sit flush as well any experience with this vehicle and or if you just cut some of the backing away from the FG housing? thought id ask before i started cutting
  3. ive never had any issues... i routed from albany ny to york beach maine and it routed me the same way my family has been driving for over 5 years now
  4. i plug my ipod in and have total music control...
  5. i cant answer that question... i personally wouldnt pick a phone based on whether or not my car can link with it... i'd pick my phone based on my needs... in the meantime im just using my headset in the car again until pioneer and palm decide to play nice that an i have a krzr on my other line that pairs fine that i can use as a "car phone"
  6. i have the same issue... palm has an issue with its BT stack in anything beyond the 700p 1.08 ROM... i know he stock 755p ROM is 1.04 which i believe is what the 700p update was built from its funny since it boasts better bluetooth... but now, what worked for many doesnt and what didnt work now does
  7. agreed.. what do your passengers need to see he map for?
  8. i *had* the phone and it worked fine for the short period i used it
  9. Just yesterday I pushed thelatest MR from palm.com to my Treo 700p (sprint) Prior to this update i was able to connect my phone/make voice calls/push my phonebook now I cannot even get the phone to connect... The headunit sees the phone and the phone sees the headunit but when I goto connect I get a "connection error" Ive added the headunit to my palm's trusted devices list and as mentioned they can both see each other but they wont connect.... oddly enough eventhough the headunit tells me "connection error" i still get a bluetooth connected symbol on my palm but when i make phone
  10. its all clear as day now sir! thank you for being patient with me
  11. So if im understanding you and the website correctly: # Connect the INTERFACE's White wire to Pin 18, Brown wire of the above connector # Pin 19, Green wire needs to be grounded. # Jump to section 4 (skip all steps (1-23) in the table) if so, that still doesnt tell me where i hookup the headphone jack or how the unit hooks up to the factory steering wheel wiring i ask u keep in mind ive never installed one of these before and while i installed the AVIC myself I cannot claim i know 100% what the heck is going on all the time... i dont wanna bug or frustrate you but a little mo
  12. so the white wire hooks into the harness adapter per the websites instructions... and the headphone jack goes where? dare i say the front of the head unit b/c thats the only place i remember seeing a headphone type jack on the unit as for attaching the swips to the car.. the notes on the PAC site say to skip the entire table of instructions and theres no other mention of hooking into the steering wheel wires
  13. the white wire on the SWIPS plugs into which wire on the RCA harness? as far as i can recall the only wires on the RCA after u bypass the unit are amp remote, reverse and vss can u please confirm which wire (color) on the RCA harness the SWIPS connects to... thanks cntrylvr79 heres the SWIPS
  14. well i got it all sorted out! maybe one of the power installers here can answer this question... how and where do i hookup a PAC-SWIX for this car and to the AVIC itself? I've been looking all over and simply cannot find anything about hookup in the Sonata or to the deck itself thanks!
  15. 1 word, insurance and receipts i made sure my carrier (just got a new one) covered it and they cover anything 1000$ and less (no deduct) so long as u have the receipts... im also taking the car back to have pictures taken once i get my AVIC installed again so they have it on their records
  16. i guess i wont know until i get the dash apart and take a look at things thanks!
  17. ill paraphrase from a hyundai site: "The Antenna Remote wire is different. I've never seen an adapter that includes it, and if you leave it off you'll have no AM and poor FM reception. The easiest way to fix this is to splice your Antenna Remote to the factory Frog Wire (it's green with silver stripes.)" so from what im assuming, the harness i solder my AVIC wires too doesnt have the correct matching PIN for the power antenna wire and as such they want me to tap that wire into the correct wire on the factory harness? seems to me it might just be easier to relocate a PIN on the harn
  18. Looking for the VSS and Rev wire If possible any pictures (if the wires arent behind the stock radio) Thanks! Edit: also ive heard of a "frog wire" behind the dash (green with silver stripe) that needs to be tapped for some reason... can someone speak to that and/or clarify what needs to be done there?
  19. what an informative response... i think what he wants to know is what each color means id wager: -black (Not Active) -yellow (Acquiring) -orange (Connected)
  20. i looked all over the site above but didnt see any test cd's or sounds i could use to tune my stereo can someone provide a direct link please
  21. u might try adding the AVIC to the treo's list of Trusted Devices Bluetooth -> Setup Devices -> Trusted Devices - > Add Device Thats the only way i got my D3 talking to my 700P once u add it to the list the unit should be able to connect to your phone just fine
  22. book says over time u can develop anomalies when the GPS and VSS arent connected and talking... id connect your VSS and do some driving and see if that tightens things up i had a similar issue... for about 2 weeks ive been driving around on a busted GSP antennae and finally the other day i noticed where i was VS roads didnt correspond... sure enough that was why... i fixed the issue today and so far things seem to be correcting themselves
  23. Upate on the 700P... i got mine todo everything but transfer the phonebook (Everything i tried that is) ON the treo: -Visiblity: Visible -Bluetooth: On Goto "Setup Devices" then "Trusted Devices" It will discover the BTB200, select it and enter the '0000' code Goto the AVIC, under the bluetooth "Functions menu" go: -Phone connect, search It will find your phone and connect Then hit BACK Goto register phone and press and hold the top space... it will save your phone Done... just need a fix for the phonebook
