I am looking at the iPhone 5 now as to many snow issues with Arliberator and my note 2.

Basically I have the HDMI cable present do I just need the apple lightning av adaptor and an apple lighting cable since I have the HDMI already ?

I am getting a new App radio 2 with the android kit installed next week and I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note II Rooted.

I have seen some people say the MHL cable supplied with the android connectivity kit is not suitable, so can someone advise me what cable I need to advise the installer in advance.

i'm having some bugs on 8400 bt using advance mode (iphone 4 jb - 5.0.1).

 

1) when i listen to ipod audio is worst if i use advanced mode (on ipod mode is good).

 

2) also sometimes if i switch from advanced mode to ipod (or cd or radio) when i come back to app advanced mode screen is black and i've to restart appradio on iphone

 

3) some apps don't have a way to come back to home and i've to restart appradio on iphone

 

4) facebook on ec touch don't work (tough i've bought advanced package)

 

5) a bit of delay using supported and unsupported app

 

6) touch screen of avh 8400 is too sensible

 

do you know hot to solve them?

This has zero to do with appex, it is your headunit and phone

it seems as though there is a BT update in the pipeline for our units :

If you look at the charts for iphone 4s with IOS 6 at the end for AVCRP it has the yellow triangle which indicates a BT update but (to be announced)

Pioneer avh 8400 have app radio or app radio 2?

And what is the difference?

Pioneer AVH-8400 has advanced app mode but you need the correct cable and with that the app radio app and appex works with it same as the two dedicated units.

Has anyone an idea at all if Pioneer are bringing out firmware for our head units, as there is no facilty to do so and there are many bugs I think we would all liked Ironed out.

Anyhow heard anything on the grap vine ?

I have migrated from my First Gen App Radio to the AVH-8400BT(BH for US/Canada) but have a few questions that any current owners might be able to help me with as the manual is crap :

1.) If you have your iPhone or iPod connected and your start your vehicle and the bluetooth auto connects your phone it mutes the iPod (current work around unplug and replug the iPhone or connect iphone after BT connects) my BT Audio is disabled but does anyone know how to prevent this ?

2.) The Clock can it be set to 24 Hour instead of AM/PM

3.) I have tried connecting several external hard drives between 320GB and 1TB (Formatted in FAT32) but it won't pick them up but all Pen drives from 2GB to 64GB work fine, is this because of the power required to drive the External HDD.

4.) There is no mention of firmware updates for this unit, does anyone know if there possibly will be in the future ?

I am waiting on my Cable to check out the advanced app mode so will keep you posted.

Also would be nice for other users of this type of unit to share tweaks, advice etc on it.

Hey Guys I have just swapped out my App Radio (First one) for a AVH-8400BT (bought it second hand but no mic)

I am assuming the appradio mic is 3.5mm if so I am assuming the one for the 8400 is 2.5mm if so I can get an adapter but at the moment I am stumped anyone got any specs on plug sizes

He unlike the dodgy hackradio muppet is doing this for nothing.

If you press the appradio menu on the headunit it gives you a message to launch from the iphone.

Basically all it does is surpress the popup on both sides and requires manual intervention
