would all ipod classic generations work?

i got into the test menu and forced it to flash. it said success and i hit menu 5x and it took me back to the "press reset or restart engine" screen. any ideas?

wow...went through all 21 pages. interested in getting one soon. will there be 2011 or 2012 map updates?
